I called the number for the real Fidelity; the two ladies there said the company had NOT called me. Beware!

Called about a Fidelity account..could not pronounce my name correctly...was willing to talk to anyone about this account even though it is not my account. I contacted Fidelity, they said it is not a call from Fidelity. I called the number back and they answered "Fidelity". There is too much wrong with this number and Fidelity

SPAM or not, it is a hang-up. I should be on their DNC list. I do not trust them.
There is no CALLER ID other than the number.

Called me on my cell and the call had a lot of static sound on it. Also it came across on my caller ID as a "ROBO CALL", which in of itself is an immediate huge RED FLAG that it's probably a scam caller or a telemarketer.
Some guy saying he is calling from Fidelity "Invest", not Fidelity "Investments".  Look people, don't even take the chance. I just hung up on him. I couldn't hear what he was saying anyway through the static, and even if I could hear him I still would have hung up. Any calls I get from like this, especially if it has anything to do with financial stuff like my banks, investment accounts, credit cards, credit reports, or even medical stuff, I simply don't take the chance of talking to anyone if I am not 100% sure of the number. And 99% of the time I either just hang up on them and then Google search the number, or I call the company directly myself with a number I already have for the company and I ask them if anyone called me from the number I pulled off caller ID. Be smart and NEVER share ANY personal information with anyone calling you this.

I received a call today.  No message.  I called the number back and it was disconnected.  I have Fidelity - they don’t spoof numbers or use disconnected lines.  Very suspicious.

This was a call from Fidelity Investments. My 401(k) plans from a former employer and my current employer is held with them. They were trying to convince me to rollover the old employer 401(k) to an IRA. This was basically a cold call to drum up more fees for Fidelity. My old employer's 401(k) is better than any rollover option, as it has funds with excellent performance and extremely low fees (institutional investor class). Fidelity is doing what's best for them, not for me, which supports my decision to never answer these calls and to use a separate company (who is legally obligated to act as my *fiduciary*) as my financial advisor.

Kind of ironic that their company name is 'fidelity'...

This number called me on October 3, 2019.  A live male human, without a noticeable accent, said he was with Fidelity, said I had money in one of their investment funds (which he named), and asked if that sounded familiar.  I had other things to do, so I ended the call.  Only later did I realize that it was indistinguishable from a phishing call.

This is basically a sales call from Fidelity. They claim to have important information about your 401k, but they are looking to get you to roll over funds to Fidelity.
