Why would a collections agency hang up without saying anything? Seems like a pretty piss-poor way to get someone to pay a bill. Do you think before trolling people online or do you not care if what you say makes any sense so long as you get to call them names like an overgrown second-grader with a keyboard?

This is a debt scammer making robo calls, not a collection outfit. Sometimes they don't have a live crook ready to talk to you so the call is terminated by the robot.  Don't worry, since you answered they will call again.

called and left voice mail on my cell, recording just said this is a message for "they said part of my first name and last name)  Any legit co. would have my full first name. But no actual message past that.

No it isn't.  If you want to be a troll then do it elsewhere.

The number originates with CBV Collections in Burnaby.  They were leaving voice mail for someone who is not at my number.  I called them back at 1-866-33-4559 and spoke to someone who said they would stop the calls.  They were polite and professional.  Their automated attendant is a little strange, but I just chose the telecom option and after a couple of other options reached a real person.  Fingers crossed that they do what they said.

On review I see that I fat fingered CBV Collections number.  It should have been 1-866-333-4559.

This number calls all the time.   All the recording says is “This is a message for”. Then hangs up.  No name of company, dont say who they are calling for, no number left.   I am getting sick of robot calls and scammers.   When will these people realize these scams do not work.   If it is a collection agency, I owe NOTHING!   I subscribe to credit karma and I have nothing in collections and have a good credit score

My husband was getting the calls and they left a message asking for my middle name then first then last. So they had all the information, which is creepy. Wrong order, and I don’t owe anything, especially not attached to his number! So weird
