Harassing to me

keeps calling about credit letter. i don't owe anything on my credit cards that i don't pay on time and in full. so very annoying!

Says the guy replying to a post from 2017 and expecting that person to stop back after 5 years to see that reply.

So I to am receiving calls from who ever this is I see they have been calling people for over 5 years I don't answer any calls I don't know and since they call every so often I decided to look up the number and it brought me here now I know to just block it thanks for all your input peeps

I have already spammed this number on my phone, they keep calling and leave a robot giving a phone number to call back and their mailing address on Montreal.  Scammer to not answer your phone.

You have been making spam calls to this number and now you are complaining that they are doing the same to you?  Also, how does someone have an address on a city?

It's CBV.   They're one of those third rate outfits that buy long gone "debts", and I use quotes because they simply purchased the information, which unfortunately gives them access to your balance history on the account regardless of the fact it was paid.   So they will call you and claim you owe money to, in my case, Reliance, claiming that I owe approximately $103.   Here's the kicker: I haven't had to pay Reliance in 5 years since I moved out, and when I did I was all square with them.   At one point maybe 9 years ago I fell behind due to a layoff, but caught up once I was employed again and hadn't had an issue since.

CBV collections.  Trying to collect a debt that was paid over 20 years ago and doesn't even show up on my credit report.

They have phoned as early as 7am on a Saturday morning multiple times.  I get a good laugh now when I see their number show on my missed call list.  They are wasting their time trying to scam payments for debts that no longer exist.  They are walking a fine line when it comes to harassment.

They are allowed to call you at 7 am to 9 pm your time Monday thru Saturday and from 1 pm to 5 pm your time on Sunday and no Holidays.  However that only applies to Federally Regulated Debt Collectors.  All others must abide by Provincial Rules.  https://www.canada.ca/en/financial-consumer-a ... collection.html
