called my cell the evening of 8/1/09 and my home phone late the evening of 8/3/09. did not pick up the cell. when i picked up the home phone, a guy asked me if i was _____ _________ and I said who is calling me from B.C.? and he hung up. If they call again I am going to contact the telephone regulator in BC and report them.

Called my company asking if we still have a facility at a certain address. I gave him the phone number. Then asked who was the manager, if there was a suite number... etc I said I don't know.

This caller called my work number here in San Antonio, TX today @ 4:44 pm (Central Time). Here's their info: ROUTINGNXX  BC 1-604-550-7031 I knew better than to answer it, I can tell these things from experience. I did call them back just for the heck of it, in hopes they will continue to call my office to annoy my co-worker on my days off.

They called asking questions about the company which I refused to answer (number of empolyees, locations, etc) and offered to transfer over to the owner of the company.  They thanked me for my time and hung up.  Glad I didn't answer any questions, sounds like they wanted to send me advertisments in the mail are are too lazy to go visit the company website.

i believe this # is a Rushcard rep

where is the BBB and how do I contact them? I think DELL employee was using this same # to hijack my account and order a computer with my DELL account. i think he used this number because it is a TELUS routing # whose ANI cannot be detected.

(550) is a exchange used by large companies almost exclusively, including
the phone company Telus.

the call would be placed with the ANI info of the call centre or no ANI info (which could be why you can't find more info on the phone number). Bell Canada (our other major phone co.) has its services in the lower Ontario/Quebec corridor.

It is unlikely that a hacker or other has hijacked Telus' hardware, rather it could have been:

Someone making a call from a payphone.
Someone making a call via operator.
Someone making a call via XXX KSU system in XXX offices.

FYI we get calls all the time coming from PROVICIAL NUMBERS (Alberta, BC,
Ontario) as these are calls from people that went through a operator
facility and the ANI came from there as the originating caller rather than the actual person who placed the call. >>>

Rec'd call from an "Andrea" from "Telus"  also asking alot of questions concerning business location, suite etc.  I would not provide any info and forwarded to the main information #.  If it continues I will do the same as I did with the (214)446-9834 scam # and forward to our local FBI office.

Keeping up with Move in and outs of the city. Called 5 times. We don't conduct surveys.. They still don't get it.

When I answered (they called my work number) they immediately started asking questions: our physical address, who was in charge, suite numbrs, building occupancy. I cut her off to ask who she was with. Said her name was Kate and she was with TeleCentury National, a "business process contact & marketing intelligence" company. I asked for a number for my manager to call her back with. She said the number she called from could not be called back. I told her she'd have to call back and speak to a manager if she wanted her questions answered. No call back yet.....

I got two calls back to back with no one said a thing. I was on the phone with Dell several Hrs for nothing. Dell is horrible with their customer service and part dept. These idiots wanted to sell me a warranty to cover a bad hard drive that was out of warranty. Not only would I have spent over200 bucks for nothing because they would not have made good on the hard drive issue. It's like this- just think that you have a car with a blown motor and you go to your dealer to buy a warranty so that you can fix the car. Would you dealer sell you the warranty? He'll NO! Dell sucks And I won't but anymore of their trash....:(

some woman says she is from sensitel wanted me to verify we have other locations at such and such addresses.  told her to look it up.

I'm a receptionist at an office.  Got a call from a man with a thick accent, very hard to understand. I asked what company he was with and sounded liek he said Telus International. Asked questions like how many people in our office and the office square footage. I cut him off to ask what his company does and why he wants this information.  He couldn't give me a solid answer or reason so I hung up.  TELEMARKETERS!

Got a call from this number. Didn't pick up, no message left. I see people are saying it's Dell computers but I haven't owned a Dell in about 10 years I don't know how they would even have my cell phone number. What could they possibly want from me?

This is NOT Dell, but phishers hoping to trick you into giving them account or personal inforation.

I have so for, received 20 plus calls in a 30 minute period.  When I answer, no one is there.  When I don't answer it rings 5-6 time and sometimes calls back with in one minute.  I suspect it is Dell in that I had called them earlier.
