There are a lot Americans, none of them Indian, that create these fake charities and pester other Americans for money. Note that on this number thread, no mention is made of strong foreign accents.

This number IDs to Atlantic City.  Called me twice today.  I don't recognize the number, I don't pick up.  United Breast Cancer also spoofed (609) 232-8008, from Burlington NJ.

Have called more than once.  Do not answer, and no message is left.  Very suspicious.  Probably another
BS scam campaign.

Called landline at 8:30 am. Charity may be exempt from Do Not Call registry, but my understanding is that they can not call until 9 am. CID displayed United Breast C. We screen ALL calls and NEVER answer ANY unsolicited call. Heard a female voice with no accent when answering machine picked up, but no message was left. If a caller does not leave a message with their name, company name and valid call back number, we don't consider it a legitimate call. These callers rely on their " fast talking" salesmanship to part you from your money before you can research them. I believe ALL unsolicited calls are SCAMMERS and CRIMINALS, not even telemarketers anymore. ( who were annoying, but did represent a product or service) We treat them as such by IGNORING these calls.

Unless your state says otherwise legal hours to call are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. your time.

They called me last year and I told them if they sent me a slip in the mail I would donate. They said they don't do that, but if I gave them my bank account number they would take it directly from there. I laughed and said "honey I was born ugly not stupid." And hung up.

609-300-2715 is the scam number that called me. She sounds American...no accent at all. But she starts by saying "You know, (my name), you are the hardest person to reach! You are harder to reach than the last cookie in a jar". She uses that line endlessly. I have no idea who she is and she starts off acting like we know each other and we're long lost best friends. That's a ruse just to get your curiosity up and keep you on the line. Tonight's line was "You are harder to get than trying to get my kids to clean their room".  That's her opening line. No "Hi, This is Jane Doe". At least I know it's her AGAIN. She's not being as "warm" and endearing as she thinks. I just hang up on her. And I swear the Do Not Call List sells our numbers. I've never received MORE friggin calls than when I posted my numbers on that list!

Received a similar call yesterday but under a different number for the same outfit. Last time when I pressed them for statistics or data as to how the donations are allocated, I was called a B**ch. Sounds really legit.”

sounded like an automated call, had planned to ask to be removed from their call list but I just hung up.  I cannot decide it I want to add the number to me block list or just wait for them to call back and curse them out.
Let's see if they call back when the family is not around...

Called landline again. CID UNITED BREAST C. Call ignored. Thank you BIG A for correcting my error on starting time of these calls. As you stated legal hours are 8am to 9pm. To me, any call before 9am, other than family, is too early and disturbing. Should be 9 am to 9 pm, but just my opinion. Doesn't matter, we NEVER answer ANY unsolicited call!

Today caller ID said United Breast C.  Yesterday it said Burlington, NJ instead from 8002328008.  No messages.   They keep using different numbers but don't get that we have answering machines with caller ID and are on to their games.

called twice in 3 hours and left no message.   Wouldn't give to anyone over the phone as wouldn't trust who might really be behind the call no matter what the callerId or the telemarketer "claims".

Just looked up united breast cancer foundation.   If this is actually them, they have a bad rating on charity navigator.   29% goes to fundraising.   11.3% to administration.    So over 40% of what you give doesn't even go to anything worthwhile.    Find a better cancer charity to give to if you want to give.   Susan G. Komen, for example, gives almost 82% to their cause and only about 11% is fundraising.

Find a local charity to give to if you have too much money. By giving local you can see your donation in action.

Just got a call from them.   Asked for me by name, then went into Iong story asking me to make a donation.  I hung up on her.  Googled the name, comes up as one of the worst charities!  I blocked number.
