Left a message saidthey are Penn. Legal officer services. Left a long message for some other person about fraud, complaints etc.  When I called back, the gentleman with a heavy Eastern Indian accent got mad and hung up on me like I was lying to him. Awesome!!

just happened to me, lawl!

I just got a call too.  Could not ven really understand the message. What is this about?

an Indian man called and left a threatening message said he was law department of the US and was looking for someone who doesn't even live here. These people have to be stopped.

This jerk claimed his name was Sean Wilson although he is obviously east indian. I also received a message saying I was named in a lawsuit & that he had my address AND social security number. I googled the phone number prior to calling back & read all the complaints about this guy.

First of all, he had the wrong person. The address he had was not & never has been mine. When I informed him he had the wrong person, he became irrate & said, "Just wait & see! We will move forward with this lawsuit and you will be crying OR I will be dead!"

My response, "Well, I guess you will be dead then!"

He screamed "[***] YOU!" and hung up the phone.

I called back and said, "Listen jerk, if I am being named in a lawsuit then serve me the papers. That's how it works in AMERICA...YOU JUST DON'T RECEIVE A PHONE CALL NOTIFICATION THAT YOU ARE BEING SUED!" by this point I was screaming into the phone.

I told him he was harassing me & I would report him & that his phone number was all over the internet listed as a fraud.

DO NOT GIVE THIS GUY YOUR SOCIAL OR VERIFY YOUR ADDRESS IF HE CALLS YOU!!!!

I also received a call from this guy at work and when I told him that I could not get personal calls at work he proceeded to call back 8 times in a row swearing at my co workers and telling them that I was a horrible person and that I should be in jail. If that is not a case of harrassment I don't know what is.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Some fraudsters have instructed victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain amount, on a specific date, via a pre-paid Visa card. The statement further declares the victim will never dispute the debt.

If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller’s instructions. Rather, you should:

Notify your banking institutions.
Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.
Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.
File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
Tips to avoid becoming a victim of this scam:

Never give your Social Security number—or personal information of any kind—over the telephone or online unless you initiate the contact.
Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. The e-mail may include upsetting or exciting but false statements to get you to react immediately.
Avoid filling out forms in e-mail messages that request personal information.
Ensure that your browser is up-to-date and security patches have been applied.
Check your bank, credit, and debit card statements regularly to make sure that there are no unauthorized transactions. If anything looks suspicious, contact your bank and all card issuers.
When you contact companies, use numbers provided on the back of cards or statements

well i was called 3 time by my wifes number i was scared shizzz less  realy being sued so i called 888-801-9075  the   place that was sueing me lol im not bein sued thay said it was a scam  wow i feel better but mad so i call 610-717-0267 and play with there head like thay did mine i hate them people so i was mean lol thay got scare   when i said what i said i traced the call  real good throu the net found about were thay were callin from turn it around like a 360 lol they said thay were sorry from scamin me and said we need to all watch the usa that we dont no what we are in for wow that sounds like a  terroist threat to me so i call back gave them a diff name like john homes  lol and a fake numer 426-678-3892  i guess that his number lol idk but hech he is in a lawsuit to     man the usa is get in  sued i say yall play with there heads  and make the best of it                         I  NO PEOPLE ARE GONNA SAY BAD STUFF ABOUT WHAT I POST BUT THAY TOOK SOMETHING FROM ME   I TOUGHT I WAS BEIN SUED

told me he was officer Michael Lee from (I think he said) law and investigation services.  Then told me that there were charges against my name (which he didn't say right) and my social security number.  and then something I couldn't understand and something about criminal charges against me.   He had a very thick Indian accent.  I didn't answer the call, all of the above was left in a voicemail to me.  I called the number back when I got home from work because I wanted to know who this jerk was and it rang and rang and rang and then finally I got some kind of message service... never said like this is blah blah blah company.... and that I could leave a message for and then some mailbox number.  I hung up and don't plan on calling back.  Everything I've found says these people or whoever are frauds.   Don't give them any information.

A very angry Indian male left a message to call back or they would proceed in a lawsuit against me. What crap! I read all these posts and never called them back. I will report them as stated above.

Got the call in the evening.  guy was a heavy indian accented.  told me to write down the number (have it on caller ID) and some other numbers, acted like I was stupid.  he rattled off some information about a lawsuit against me by Cash Advance.  when I asked him to send me the information by mail or fax so I can review the lawsuit he told me no that I would have to supena the information.  When I told him about the state law that states that I can request the information be sent to me and I do not have to pay a dime until that information is in my hands and that I do not have to supena the information it just has to be a verbal request he hung up on me.

I just got a call from 6107170267, again, it was a man with a heavy Indian accent and he told me his name was Mark Johnson..yeah right.. I pretended that I wasn't me and told him that I wasn't in.  Now that it is confirmed that this is a scam, I have something for him the next time he calls!!  He's gonna be real upset with me!!

Called and left a message saying he was Officer Michael Lee with a law department. He had a very heavy Indian accent. Saying the was fraud involved and I need to contact him immediately. This happens every two to three months to me. I just ignore the call and it is the same number but he uses a different name everytime. Message basically said about a lawsuit again me and for me to call them back to help me get things corrected.

let me put it this way he did the same to me and i told him i am trained to find people that i have fewer information about im in the united states army special forces and i told this little terrorist i will find him and make sure no one will hear from him again he hung up and i was serious i will not quit until i find him he never should have threaten my family the way he did in the message he left

I received a call at work this morning around 09:16am from this phone number 610-717-0267 by a guy named Sean Wilson stating that he was calling from the legal office in the Loan Investigation Dept. to inform me that there is a lawsuit filed against me for being involved in a fraudulent loan case.  He said my legal name, social security number and other private information of my identity is now being escalated and will be submitted to the county court house for a legal action. He insist that I should contact him immediately.

This guy must be from India.  He has this heavy India/Pakistani accent.

Even I recieved a call from  one Indian guy by name Battebaz Smith.These fellows are incompetent fools,who have heavy accent.Don't be scared of them.Just don't answer these stupid calls or even if you want to answer tell them to SHUT UP and report to FBI.They will keep wasting their time though the calls from India are free.

Just got a call. Guy with a heavy indian accent claiming his name was Neil Johnson wanted to resolve a law suit against me for a cash advance taken out by me in july of 2010. I know i did not take out an advance. To make it worst the dumb [***] couldn't give me and info on myself that any collection agency would deff. have. He couldn't even get my correct Email address needless to say i unleashed a barrage of foul language insisting that he get a real job "maybe at donkin donuts" and stop trying to rip off hard working Americans to get paid......Hope he calls back...lol

i just recieved a call from these yahoos!  they said they were with an attorney's office and that i had outstanding payday loan, which i know that i do not.  when i said i didn't he said he would have to contact his lawyer...which didn't make sense because he said he was from a lawfirm.  WOW! if your going to call someone and give them a line you better have your story straight don't you think.  anyway he got all pissy with me and hung up!  he spoke with a heavy indian accent and there was ALOT of background noise.  i could barely hear what he was saying.  please watch yourselves if you get a call from these people...they get flustered real easy if you question them on anything.

after hanging up the phone i immediately recived an email from a.benata69@menara.ma to "apply for a quick and convenient laon at the cheapest interest rate. do contact us today at roidge@live.com with loan amount needed"  go figure!  when i input the link in google there is nothing that comes up so be very aware of your emails...

The same people called me say the same thing I told them I didn't know what they was talking about and since they have all my info send me the information in the mail and I will verify and pay I didn't know it was fraud until I Google's the company thank the lord for goggle
