Caller asked if I have any cracked auto glass. Caller ID said "Name unavailable."

At 3:30 pm Wednesday May 21, 2014 I got a phone call from 612-257-4631 claiming to be from Alpine Auto Glass. Asking if I or anyone I know needed glass replacement or chipped glass repairs. I said "No" they asked are you sure and I said "No Thank you". Then I asked, "May I have your number please, so I can call you if and when I do". They gave me same number they called with that showed up on Caller ID. I asked where they were Located and they said "Twin Cities" ... and then the phone went dead. I tried to call them back with the number they gave me, to get more if information to see how big of scam they were or possible real savings they may provide. First, I got a busy single and I then tried calling again, But all I got was an automated machine saying: "Your call can not be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial it again". !!!

612-257-4631 has been calling my home phone since May, 2014.  It would frustrate me, but I never hear the phone ring, so I find it comical that they just keep calling.  I think I un-block the call after reading these posts.  I just "Uh-Huh" telemarketers during their script and then have fun at the end with my choice of prank.

I'll tell them at the end that I think they want my Dad.  Their frustration is clear when they ask something like; "Is he available" and that's when I say; "Umm, I probably shouldn't say this but I feel bad that I didn't stop you sooner so I'll tell you;  He won't be available for at least 3 years, which is his first chance for release on his stretch this time".

They usually mutter and hang up.  I'm still waiting for one to ask to talk to Mom.  When they do I'll say; "No idea which crack house she's crashed out at this time".  

I just need to squeeze in a "Don't call back and remove "MY" number from your list.

They Suck, so if you can't beat them....Mess with them.  I promise you'll learn to look forward to it....until you even get sick of that.  Then just get a phone you can block them out with, or check into "VOIP" phones like "OOMA" for instance that gives you many opportunities to mess with them; i.e. - you can have OOMA block the ring from a number and send it to....a continuous ring for one example.  There are other VOIP phones that offer similar options so don't think I'm pushing "OOMA".  In fact OOMA would not be my first choice.  Just Google "VOIP" providers and make your own choice.
