i got a call today at home by this no i pic up the phone and ask four my name claiming that they wore the scotia bank asking me if i had  5 minits off my time  and ask me info but i told theme i did not have time to talk and she said it was about a research i  hung up the phone  after

These people are so damn maddening they've called the house 8 times in 5 minutes every time I answer they hung up on me. I'm already on the do not call list!! Stop calling me! I'm handicapped for me to get to the phone it's a chore there should be a law against these harassing phone calls like this. There's no point contacting CRTC they won't do a damn thing unless they extort money out of you. I've reported so many phone calls it's not funny. They even called me right back after the second time I hung up from a different ported number you could tell this one was an internet call and not the regular number. The second I started yelling they hung up, then they called me back with a fax tone that sharp piercing sound it makes that must have been there F you for me screaming in their ear!

Once again, it rang twice on my cell and again I never answered. I most certainly don't feel like being the teacher for a New Canadian and if that is Offensive, too damn bad. I say that as most real people would allow the phone to ring more than two times so that I could at least decide NOT to answer. If on the other hand it may be an honest call, why do they not call my land line?? Opps that's right, it is unlisted, and guess they can't quite figure out how to use the fax either now that Saskatchewan has two area codes.  Of course, rather than working at a call center in Pisswhistle, Ontario, they could come and knock on the door and try speaking their mind.  That of course would be a real English as Second Language treat. Do as You may wish, but know that some if not most of us have no use for this crap.

My proven way to stop these calls......

Answer, speak immediately so the computer will transfer to a live person. Then have fun with it, tell them you are so interested, but keep saying you are doing things, like answering doorbell, getting pen and paper, getting credit card.

The more you can waste that live person's time (and wages) will get you off call lists faster than any "do not call" list. I do this, and they never call again, and I have rarely been getting new calls.

Hit them where it hurts, the wallet.

CRTC DO NOT CALL LIST is a waste of time. It is ignored. Tell the caller the person they are looking for is deceased and hang up. Let them chew on that for a while.

Got a call from this number and I didn't pick it up.  Whoever it is did not leave a message.  Not a fan...

I just received a phone call from 613-230-2890.  A person asked for me, and then he said he is calling from Scotiabank as they do a survey.  I ended a conversation as obviously this is a scam.

This number has called my cell phone 3x today alone. It has also called my kids cell phone constantly.  Not only driving me nuts but pissing me off.  I gave answered and just dead air.

Is there a Panasonic that gives you more than 30 call blocks?  These stupid calls are more than exceeding 30!

I have recieved several unwanted call on my cellphone, I have no idea how they go that phone number as it is only used for emergency contact purposes and I do not give it out to buisnesses.  

The phone number that has shown up is 1-613-230-2890.

I am about convinced the "do not call" list puts you on a "call me" list!! I get more calls now since registerring.

Today I receive a phone call from this number, and the person who was calling he mentioned the name of one the local banks, that's so weir, on the id caller appear the name of the whatever banks its calling.

Received a call from this number on my land line;  did not recognize number so did not answer.  No message left.  Now blocked!

I received a call from this number +1 613-230-2890 and I made a return call it was from "Public Opinion Search" telemarketing and based in Ottawa.
