800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also.

Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards. Some states do not allow them to call on their state DNC laws which can differ from the federal.

This company has called 6 times in 2 days, finally call at 10:00pm. Told not to call again and remove name and number from their records.

Called after the 9pm (last legal time) to call - told them to remove my number, no exceptions.  Will be filing a complaint against them.

They just called me and it was a lady with an accent. It seemed like a very strange survey but I was waiting for my friend so I decided to take. She first asked if I knew about some type of banking that protects your assets incase the bank goes bankrupt. Then a bunch of similar questions about banking but then she started telling me about the Apple watch, and other electronic products and if I've heard of them or if I am interested in them. She mentioned if I would be interested to attend focus groups in my area. I thought it was odd but it seemed like an actual survey. I don't know why and in retrospect I regret this but I have her my name and email address.
I'm a little worried now and I'm wondering if anyone knows what company this number actually belongs to and what is their purpose?

If this is a political Survey in Ontario -- why are they calling Nevada?  Scammers are definitely getting more stupid each year.  As for being on DNC list -- crooks do not abide by legal things remember.  They are out to steal.  If this is political for Canada, it has nothing to do with Nevada.  From what I see here, this group has been calling for a very long time.  Maybe they are legitimate, but that is doubtful since they do not have any information they leave, just call and hang up.  Please remind the elderly and impaired:  Do NOT talk with any of these people who call.  If you do it invites more calls for one thing -- and they can sell your phone to others because it is a real number.  Is that what you want?  And that is only the annoying part.  If they are peole wanting to scam others out of money, answering the call only sets you up for that.  Remember:  crooks do not care about government laws.

I am so glad I have caller ID (name  & number) but only the phone number is displayed. I do not answer calls from unknown numbers. And of course, they never leave a message. But it sure is annoying!

I received several calls from this particular number on my call display..
I called back and is a research survey number...
You can't leave a message on THEIR number as they don't leave message on ours...

Best thing to do is when they call...
just ignore it and delete the call display entry every time

Nothing to be worried about. They are Nielsen Research. You can get more information at www.opinionsearch.com - If there is a paid focus group happening in your area, you'll get the opportunity to attend and make some money.

I don't answer callers I don't recognize. I don't know anyone in Canada. I'm on the DNC but that doesn't cover international calls. They didn't leave a message.

The Do Not Call List is a joke.  Phone solicitors must register in order to get the numbers they should not call and who,is going to do that.  It is no a magical list.   Just because you register not to be called does not list your name with  any callers.  A waster,of money to,have this list.
