Wanted me to send a check for $1600 immediately or I would have a warrant out for my arrest.  Guys name was Ryan Smith, said if he wasn't available to ask for Jack Taylor.  He has a strong accent.

Just received the infamous phone call from Asian officer Ryan Smyth from CRA. #613 707 0339.  Quick Google shows:

Ditto. Guy left a message saying there was a tax fraud charge against me and either myself or my lawyer should call him back immediately. Yeah, right.

Just checked message left on allegedly from Canada R A. Man with shaky almost hysterical voice. He doesn't sound like an authority, he sounds more then talking same time masturbating pervert. Demanding not to disregard his message and to respond ASAP by myself or to ask my lower to do so.

We have the same thing taking place here in the United States. But in our case the caller claims to be the IRS. Both my mother and childhood friend received the IRS calls. The strange part about is that I have read comments on 800notes from people in Canada that talk about the IRS calling them. I cannot help wondering if these telemaggoters forget which country they are calling.

I received a voice mail call similar to those noted above.  Caller identified as Officer Ryan Smith.  I was quite sure this was a fraudulent call but decided to call back.  It was very obvious then the call was bogus.  I told the person on the phone I was reporting them to the authorities and he then hung up.

I would be easy for the elderly top be taken in.

Same caller on Salt Spring - this asian guy has called me several times this week (I don't believe he will stop without a few more threatening calls).  Would love to have him taken care of ... but probably using a disposable phone.  He could at least leave an 800 number to call back.  There needs to be some group or organization that puts these people behind bars for a LONG time.

Got the same scam CRA message today. Fraud. Is there no way to find out who they are? Great to see them get roasted. They did increase blood pressure for a short time until the number was checked!

got same call and message from this number and name. I did not believe it because he asked to call back his direct number, plus I haven't filed my tax yet. anywhere we should report this scam to?

Said the person was Officer Ryan Smith. Discrepancy on our taxes. Don't disregard this notice. U better call lawyer. Foreign accent
