Same as all of you.  They started out calling every three days since Jun 6th and now they are up to twice a day on my CELLPHONE.  Why should we be the ones to have to change our number? I never answer it when it looks like a telemarketer - I come on here first and read what people have to say about the number.  There has to be something we can do to end these annoying and COSTLY calls.

This company has called me solidly for the past couple of weeks, the number is unlisted and when called they call themselves only BRI.
As I am on the DNC list, I had thought that it would stop these calls, but they get round it by being supplied with call list info from there clients, eg RBC, TD Canada Trust, ett.
To get a call from them when you are on the DNC list you must have at one time in your life, had contact with, or requested info from, or had service provided by one of there clients. This then gives them carte-blanche to call the crap out of you, and bother you night and day.

So how do you get them to stop calling. very hard. Even if you ask them , they can still call you again under the option of info passed on to them from a different client.
But I have found out the companies real name
    Beautyrock Inc
    41 Second Street West
    Cornwall, Ontario K6J 1G3
    Toll Free: 1-800-668-0077
    http://www.beautyrock.com/

Still it may not stop the calls, but if they p****d people  off enough , people might start calling the toll free number from payphones, maybe leaving it off the hook, costs a fortune and ties up lines, please understand I am not suggesting people do this. I am just pointing out how upset people could respond to all the telephone calls

    fricking annoyed!

That number has been calling my cell for the last 2+ weeks and not leaving a message! First week, it was once in the morning. Second week, was twice a day, in the morn/aft and eve. Now it's three times a day — morn, aft and eve! Fricking annoying and frustrating! TG I didn't answer any of the 18 calls and decided to google the number before I called it back.

I am on the Do Not Call list but it's obviously not working. I filed a complaint anyway on the DNR website. I will call RBC customer care and give them an earful if it is one of their stupid insurance companies. Thanks all for your feedback.

CALLS HAVE STOPPED! replies to fricking annoyed!
Yes! After my complaints on the DNR website and the PhoneBusters website, the calls have STOPPED! Don't know which one did the trick but I suggest if you are still getting those annoying calls everyday, complain! Good luck :)

There's actually some truth to the fact that legitimate RBC representatives do call from 'Unknown Numbers'. They're sub-contractors outsourced by RBC (scary, I know).

Simply call your local RBC branch and tell them you want to be removed from their calling list – *NOTE: Chances are that RBC has you listed on multiple 'advertising' lists, including credit card announcements, life insurance plans, etc., tell your branch representative you want to be removed from ALL lists. Someone at your branch WILL be able to do this for you, don't let them tell you it's not possible (if they do, ask to speak to someone else or call another branch – it's definitely possible).

Don't waste your time asking the original 'Unknown Caller/sub-contractor' to remove you from the list because it's pointless – they won't, even if they could, chances are they wouldn't... after all, they're trying to make potential sales, not lose them!

I just got a call from this number as well.  They didn't leave a message, and when I tried to call it back, there was no answer...

My thoughts are, I have to pick up the phone when they call me, but they don't have to answer when I call back???  Whatever...

I just contacted RBC about the phone number and they have nothing in their listings resembling it.  I told the customer service rep that I would advise on this site to everyone NOT TO GIVE ANY INFORMATION to this person - they ARE NOT from RBC.

The customer service agent has passed the phone number onto their fraud department.

Hope this helps, and let others who may be receiving calls from this number that it is a phishing expedition.

    RE: YOU STOP IT YOURSELF
Good advice to get active and report these callers to local authorities.

TOO BAD IT WON'T HELP.  I'm sorry to say: GOVERNMENTS AND PHONE COMPANIES ARE IN ON THIS, CREDIT CARD COMPANIES AS WELL.

Call it a social experimentation.  I don't have all the details but the irony is clear; Problem-Reaction-Solution

The phone calls claim to be your protection against IDENTITY THEFT.  Oddly enough they are the ones STEALING YOUR IDENTITY.

This entire telemarketing ring is criminal, probably run by the bankers and the credit card companies.

I wouldn't be surprised if 800 Notes is part of the program. Look at the bigger picture, it's a scam which involves protecting the identity of key players.

Don't play along with THEIR GAME.  Tell DNC Lists you refuse to participate in their experiment.  Spread the word that these people are crooks getting kickback for the chaos they are creating.

When the going gets tough,   the consumers take their power back.

A person called from this number today and said they represent RBC. I told them that I contact RBC when I want to know something. I don't accept calls from anybody unless they can be immediately verified. Calle ID showed up the call as long distance.

If you have service through Telus, try blocking those irritating numbers. Check if you have that *60 feature on your phone. If so, press *60 and wait for instructions.  You'll have the option of blocking the last number that called you by pressing #01#. It's a great service!!
