Call from "Tennessee fraternal Oreder of Police". They want a donation and claim they help so many needy people including Police Officers' that have fallen in the line of duty and they claim they help the families of these fallen officers.

I didn't answer because I didn't know who it was. I don't answer numbers that I don't know, the caller ID said "TN FOP Found", so I checked it out and sure enough its a scam.

The FOP IS a charity, the funds help in many ways.  The money goes to trainging officers to help keep themselves and the public at large safe.  It goes to help the families of fallen officers.  And much more....AND all charities can be written off!!!  
I will agree whole heartedly that there are a lot of scams out there, but this isn't one of them.  If you would like to donate directly to the FOP, you can do so on there website.

I they called me back as well but it didn't menchion an FOP on the caller id. It's showing up as "Hendersonville TN" and didn't leave a message (No, I did not answer)

This number has called several times and left no message on machine. This is not the number of the TN FOP.  As someone else said, why is it out of Washington State?  I also checked that website and it's not their number either.  It's a scam.  I'm also on the Do No Call Registry - little good that does!  I'm reporting the number to them anyway.

I am a police in tennessee and i got a call from this number, after i told them who i was, they hung up on me, never heard from them again.

This number calls me everyday,the last time they call i talked to them, and i found out that it is a scam. ask me for a credit card number.

I told this guy was not interested and then he tried to intimidate if not threasten - nice police -

There is a website for this organization at http://www.tnstatefop.com/foundations.html but the address given on that site is in Tipton, TN, in the western part of the state. The telephones listed for it are all area 901 numbers. The number from which the call was made is in area 615, around the Nashville area in middle Tennessee.

There is a legitimate organization named the Fraternal Order of Police but I do not know if this number is really associated with the organization.

I am on the national and Tennessee do not call list. I want my name and telephone number removed from this solicitation immediately. I give to chariatable organizations of my own choice. I do not want to receive anymore calls from FTO, 815-348-1930.

Caller hung up on third ring, but after reading this I am glad I didn't answer. I would not have done it anyway, but a lot of older people would.

yep, called asking for someone who does NOT live here. I told them they had the wrong number. "Thank you for your time" he said and hung up.  I knew it was a sales call, as I have ringmaster, and it was my private ring tone that only 2 friends have.

1-615-348-1939 has been pounding our phone for days, once a.m., once p.m. and it comes up on caller I.D. as, yep, "Tenn FOP". Since these reports mostly mention 1930 and one 1934 I suspect its a boiler room (duh!) and they have a cluster of lines in the 193?-? range. You would think when scams like this are flying under law enforcement colors law enforcement would be all over it. Judging from the time frame posted here apparently not.

These are telemarketers who keep in excess of 95 % of each dollar you chumps give them. They give the FOP about a nickle of each dollar.

The FOP doesn't care because it's money they get for doing nothing.

Trust me ... it's a major scam nationwide. Don't believe the Idiot Educator ... research it yourself.
