Received this call while online and left no message.I tried calling number back and they stated box was full.

I answered my home phone today at 2:17 PM CT and a female requested $25 small donation to the Police Officers injured or killed in the line of duty. She then asked if I still lived at an address to a place I sold 3 years ago. I replied "No", and she asked for my new address. I did not give to her my new mailing address and she replied. "Do you want to give a donation or not?". She did not want to take "no" for an answer so I asked her to remove my phone # from her "call list".  Very frustrating.

Just got another call today from phone number 615-383-4260...I didn't answer I  let the machine get it..They didn't leave any messages..I am also on the do not call list.
When I have spoken to them  I tell them I give local and hang up...They keep calling..

Received call around 12 pm today.  I didn't answer until it came up on caller id.  Caller ID said Police Protective.  When I said hello, I heard a click on the other line and then a dial tone.  No one said anything on the other line. I did a reverse lookup on anywho.com and got a link to a news report on Channel 4 about how this was a scam.  I am on the do not call list as well.

I have gotten repeated calls from 615-383-4260. All were hang-ups when our answering machine answered. The last time they called (about 2 weeks ago), I answered and the person started to give me his solicitation spiel. When I attempted to politely tell him I wasn't interested, he continued as if I never said a thing. After three or four attempts to tell him I wasn't interested, I finally shouted into the phone, "SHUT UP, TAKE MY NUMBER OFF YOUR LIST AND NEVER CALL HERE AGAIN" and then hung up.

He called again this morning (July 16, 2008). That number is now permanently blocked.

Don't it though.  I just now got a call from them and the lady knew my address.  Said she would send a decal to my mailbox and asked for a donation.  ????  Why would police protection all the way from Nashiville be calling here?

Have received repeated calls from this number.  When I call the number back I either get a recorded message or it says that the box is full.  Claims to be a charitable donation called "Police Protection."

# showed up on caller ID for 12:21 p.m. 10-6-08.  Did not leave message.  I do not live in "615" area.  They call periodically; I do not answer.

Called 10/09 at 6:22pm

Didn't answer as I wasn't home.

Rang twice, hung up when I answered.

Called when I was out. I don't have a machine. Was curious, so Googled, and it led me here.

If I had been home, I would have just ignored the call. Or if the ringing had gone on for a while, picked the receiver up and immediately hung up. These scams aren't worth wasting time or frustration on. Trying to reason with anybody like this is futile. Ignore 'em and move on. Life is too short and too precious to sweat this stuff.

And to what someone above said ... yeah, these days, even if it LOOKS like it's something like your own bank calling you, refuse to give anyone personal info over the phone. Tell them you are hanging up and will be immediately contacting your bank, and then be sure that you call your bank number (not any number that person provides).

Let's be smart and safe, but let's not let these idiots keep us from enjoying our lives.  My 2 cents. lol

I received a call from them and did not answer. They did not leave a voice message. Looked them up out of curiosity, and after reading these peoples' complaints, I must say, I'm glad I didn't answer!

Same story here, I'm on the no call list too.  No one responce when I answer.  I've had this type of call before.  Be careful out there.

I just got a call from this number and when I said hello they hung up. Glad there is a site like this out there!

This is a scam!  Nashville news media have done stories about it.  Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County Police officials are quoted as saying they know nothing about this group...and the group has never assisted the police department or its officers with anything.  I, like others reporting here, am on the do not call list.  But these scammers keep calling.

I am on the do not call registry and I do not want unsolicited phone calls,  Plus I read sometime back that this number is a scam.
