Just to let people know. According to the Supreme Court and case law, Police do not have a requirement to protect anyone. Their only job is to enforce the law and investigate. The biggest lie ever told is written on the sides of most police vehicles, TO PROTECT AND SERVE. And yes I was once a police officer and I get these calls too.

More rude people trying to cash in on our police.  One call I received

from 615 was actually telemarketers calling from the state of Utah.

I asked them what they were doing from there and how they divided the

money they collected = 30/70, i.e   30% to the police there in Utah,

and 70 percent in their pockets...they are paid by a company.  Why would

a Tennesseean want to give to the good people in Utah!!!!!!!!

so many scams out there, and it is that they are using the police!!!!!

And to think, I am on the do not call.gov list; doesn't do any good.

Received call 10-6-09 1:09 p.m. - No message left

We just received a call from these people. They started with a long speech and when we said, "We aren't interested" the caller yelled, "F--k you!".  This coward has me very angry.

Received a call from this number 15 minutes ago but did not answer.  I figured it was someone calling for a donation even though I'm on the Do Not Call Registry.  I Googled the number and got a whole list of sites indicating this is a scam.  I tried to call the Nashville Police Department number listed on one of the sites, but there was no "press ?" number to report scams such as this.  Who do we report this to other than list it on this website?

Have been getting calls from this phone # since 2007, latest one was today. I've noticed that the complaints on this site go back to July 26, 2007, as well. Reverse lookup on address given earlier comes back to one or more plumbing companies in Nashville. Other people have gotten different info. on the look-ups. The scammer/s may be using a router (or spoofing) to keep the con going. Eventually, maybe they will be taken care of. "Hopefully!" All of the calls are getting just a wee  bit aggravating (sarcastic).

is there anyone there at the address or is it just a dumby address? If they are there, what keeps these citizens who have been bothered over and over from calling Metro and getting them to just run by there knock on the door and say STOP IT!

These people are utter scumbags and have called us for years.  They have nothing to do with the police and only use that in their caller ID to scare people.

Do not give these crooks a sent.  They will call no matter how many times you ask them to take you off their list also.

they call me every day more than one. i have told them not to call me. i have asked nicely. i have asked rudely. i have told them im on the do not call registry. sometimes they say nothing. total idiots and [***]. id like to bash their brains in. what good is the do not call registry and laws? americans always find ways around everything...cutthroat leches. what purpose do they possibly serve or achieve when they say nothing if you answer and leave no message if you don't. do they just sit there and masturbate or what?

They don't say anything, but I know this is a scam.  They have called before and put on a recording.

Received a call from 615-383-4260 and did not answer...THEN MY GERMAN SHEPHERD STARTED GROWLING AND A GUY IN A POLICE UNIFOM BROKE IN MY SIDE WINDOW WITH A CROW BAR...I SHOT HIM TWICE IN THE CHEST AND ONCE IN THE FOREHEAD AND DUMPED HIM IN THE WOODS BEHIND MY POLICE STATION. NUMBER HAS NOT CALLED BACK AND FBI FILE HAS BEEN CLOSED!
