I have gotten this call this evening - didn't leave a msg but it did give me a Granite City 618-709-7644 was the number...thanks all for the posts...I will warn the "elderly" in my neighborhood about this.  Something needs to be done!

Got this call tonight, let my machine answer, no one said anything.  Strange thing, my friend who lives several towns over (in Chicago suburbs) had the same thing happen a few days ago

No one on the line when I picked up.

Received a call from this # and it rang 17 times and I did'nt answer.  I called back on my cell phone and it said the # was disconnected.

No one answered

UPDATE FROM LAST WEEK:  4 more calls . . . and 4 more complaints to donotcall.gov.

Reverse VoIP lookup says this is coming from the Republican National Committee.  Get smart and do not vote for any Republicans in November.  That will get them to think again about these robocalls.

This number calls at least once a day.  If I am at home when it calls, I simply pick up the receiver and immediately disconnect.  This is what I generally do when I see a number I do not recognize....I doubt that I am disconnecting people who really need to contact me.

Just followed your directions on how to block this number. Just received my 3rd call from them. Since they hung up on me last time when I asked them to stop calling me, I let them go through their full sales pitch then asked them to wait for me to get my cc and put phone in another room and went back to what I was doing when they called while they waited for me to return!! LOL! Finally I head the disconnect signal!

Two calls within 5 minutes from this number today - per my land line caller ID.  No messages.  Shows as Granite City.

UPDATE:  I'm now up to a total of 8 complaints to dnc.gov about this number.

My mother keeps getting calls from this number. It's an automated message offering free live support system to seniors. They claim to be assoicated with the American heart assoication and diabetes association. The number comes through as a cellular call. When I dial it back, I get a message that the number is disconnected and no longer in service. When I answer, the person hangs up. I guess I don't sound like a senior citizen. Always beware of people offering FREE services.

Get calls from Shawne Wise almost daily...SICK OF IT - there is never a message left and we will never answer this call!!!

I've gotten over 40 calls from them... always a hangup.  Either when I answer or when it goes to the answering machine.

Forgot to mention, I called the number back several times, there's a recording that "says" it's a disconnected number, but that could be THEIR recording, I had a girlfriend who used this on her line to get rid of solicitors.

UPDATE:  Up to 10 complaints filed to dnc.gov.  Ridiculous.
