I called this (local) 619 number and received a recorded message that they are conducting a survey. A nice way to access (i.e., annoy) members of the DO NOT CALL registry.

Surveys are exempt from the DNC registry. It's for telemarketers only.

You are correct. Also most political organizations and charities
But my point was this makes them no less annoying. Right?
Call blocking doesn't work because they called back from a different number the next night.
Anyway, if you call them back they will give you the following email address to request an opt out -- provided you add your telephone number to the body of the email.

In your original post you stated "A nice way to access (i.e., annoy) members of the DO NOT CALL registry." which would indicate that you were not aware of the fact that the DNC is for telemarketers ( people who sell things) only.  So Tygerkat's reply to you was appropriate.   I am glad you found the website to remove your number from their list.  I am told by others that it does work.

Sure call blocking works. Especially if you can block the entire area code.

Spam call trying to get personal information on pretense/pretext of doing a survey.  At a minimum a spammer, at worst, a malicious phishing entity.

These SOBs called me twice in one day! The second time was at 9pm!!! I picked it up and they said my number was selected for a survey. Blocking this number.

No message left.  Blocked number.

Calling from phone numbers 619 824 9096 today and 619 371 5877 yesterday.  No message left.
