my wife called the number back,,, they demanded her date of birth and social security number.   She told them she didn't feel comfortable giving out that info over the phone and it was a true debt collection,  they would already have that info.  The lady on the other end became very defensive and yelled at my wife.   My wife asked how she could verify if it was a legitimate collection, and the lady hung up.

The lady called my phone looking for a Yaun Row. I'm not sure if I spelled right and then I said it wasnt the right number and she hung up on me.

Received a missed call, they didn't leave a message, mustn't been that important.

phone information says call is from Kansas, no VM was left

Had this number call me no message left on my voice mail.  Called back found out it is a company called Portfolio Recovery Associates.  A collections agency for Pay Pal for the Pay Pal credit accounts.

Called my phone and refused to say why they were calling then hung up.

Missed call from this number. No message was left.

Received call on Thursday, July 16th at 4:40 pm.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

This is a total scam, from "Portfolio Recovery Associates". They said I had "Amazon debts", which was wrong and ridiculous (since Amazon orders are already paid on credit card). I was annoyed and getting suspicious. They wanted me to confirm my SS#, at which point I got really mad and said "No, you give me your numbers right now...phone, name, supervisor." The lady said "Well, maybe I have the wrong Jim". I demanded her to give me the SS# digits she wanted me to "confirm", and then told her that was not me, and demanded that she remove my phone number from her list.
If you get such call, get their information, give them none, and then turn the information over to your local DA or fraud unit.

Debt Buying Collector. They buy old bad debt from people such as Pay Pal Credit, Capital One, etc...
They will send letters with Payment options, and at the bottom in fine print it says , "Because of the Age of your Debt, we will not report it to the credit agencies or sue you for it."
Portfolio bought bad debt from my creditor, that was settled in a bankruptcy and are trying to recover "bad- Bad Debt" for 1996 and it is 2015 (19 years old).
You can do a Cease and Desist letter, but they can still send you regular mail, but have to stop calling you.

Got a call from this number-they did not leave a message.  I called the number back out to see what it was about.  The guy said they are a dept recovery company Portfolio Recovery Associates.  He asked my number and name.  I didn't want to give him too much information.  He asked if anyone had ever used my phone before or number and I said no.  And he said he would mark it down as a "wrong number".

Don't answer this number.  Block it.
