Don't Answer.  If you do...don't confirm anything they claim you owe.  And don't confirm your identity because if you think they are annoying now....just wait. They will phone badger you.  They are trying to collect on really old charged off debt.  Yes, they can legally do it and pretty much keep what ever they can get from you.  The catch...they have to confirm your who they think you are.  I know...it sucks.

Debt collectors trying to collect 15 yo accounts must be bottom feeders again.   Can you get a real job?  These guys need to get busted by FTC for not playing by the rules and put out of business for good.  The top people need to do at least a year of jail time (now they are felon's  HEHEHE) that should teach them.

Got a call from them, asking me however it was my name when I was signal. They had the last four digits of my SS# and I confirmed it, however I had never owned this CC and they had said they had sent me a letter to my address and it was returned , once again I said yes to the correct address. I then asked them how did they get my phone number and my address and she replied I cant give you that info. Now what is going to happen? But she did say that they would send me a form stateing that I never owned that CC.  My question is this all true? and what will happen next?

out of the country maybe in kansas they bought information on people like phone numbers

Don't ever "confirm" anything with them. They will use fake scam info and add your real valid info to it and chase you for money you never owed. Then they will SELL this fake debt with your real info to other scammers and debt collectors (and they will also start calling/threatening you). They are good at ”creating" FAKE debt. It's a scam that makes them tons of money.

Portfolio Recovery...again.  I have told them countless times that the person they are looking for no longer has my newish telephone number, yet they persist in calling.

Five calls from Portfolio Recovery today alone: 800-772-1413; 757-963-7007; this one, 201-214-5452, and 412-235-6111... I suppose the callers with those numbers have duplicate lists, hoping that someone will answer their calls... I OWE YOU NOTHING!!!

You're right. Plus if they should convince you to make any kind of payment, it can reopen the debt, even though it is no longer the same people you might have owed in the first place. If you ever get to the point financially that you want to clear a debt, you would want to pay the people who actually gave you the loan, credit account, or whatever it was that they assisted you with financially. Also, you may be able to have the debt reduced, so speak to an advisor first. Otherwise, even if you owe no debts, don't give any information over the phone, especially your name, and personal information to people you don't know, and never agree to, or with anything they say..

Bottom scum feeder Portfolio Recovery Associates again!  I never answer my phone when a number I don't recognize shows up. I let it ring until they hang up then I look the number up. Whether it is them or not, if I can't find info on the number I just block it. The last time I made the mistake of answering the phone when I was expecting a call back from a friend, I told the POS bottom scum feeder to go "mate" with himself, hung up and then blocked the number!

they have called me several times and each time using a different number.  Everytime they call i don't answer and block that number
