- BeemaThis is not AMEX callilng...it is a scam....I wouldn't be surprised if the scammers are posting on this number and others that it "is" legitimate...I just spent 20 mns talking to AMEX customer service calling the number on the back of my card.....scam, scam, scam, scam......Do not panic if you're an AMEX consumer - just call the number on the back of your card...same for other 623 area codes and that 801.....

- AnnIt is a scam. I have gotten calls from Credit Card numbers before (forgot a payment, had unusual charges post that ended up being fraud).
Every single time they leave a message "This is a call from *credit card company* regarding your account. Please call us at (legit credit card company phone number)." Or some variation thereof.
If there is no message left, they get blocked since they are scams.- Caller: "Amex"

- Sorry Dearie replies to sup yoIt's a scam. I no longer use my AmEx card. Haven't used it in years since Costco dumped them. This and other numbers spoofed by these scammers call ALL THE TIME lately and do not ask for me by name (red flag number one), and call on NATIONAL holidays (red flag number two), and finally, call PAST the legal time allowed for LEGITIMATE businesses to call in my state (red flag number three).
This is NOT American Express, they are SCAMMERS. - post pending moderator approval
