Call, leave no message. I assume it's a autodialer determining valid numbers for telemarketers to use later.

"They" called my wife's cell phone.  As per our practice, if we do not know the number, we wait for the caller to leave a message.  They did not.  Ergo:  SCAMMER...  FYI:  We are retired and have all important phone numbers already listed on our phones.  Something like this is almost assured to be a sales call for something we don't want or need.  I visit 800notes.com to see if our suspicions are correct and in this case, they are.

We have been on the "Do-Not-Call" list for years but since our government doesn't seem fit to put any teeth into the program, i.e. heavy fines, it's just as easy for us to ignore strange numbered calls and not worry about who's on the other end.  If it's important, they will leave a message.  :o)

Called while I was in the shower, I tried to call back and my phone wouldn't even call the number. It just kept saying "dialing"

Called, did not leave message on answering machine. My number is listed on the DNC. It is somewhat hilarious how many of these calls I receive each week, all with no answer on my part. It costs the caller almost nothing to make one of these calls, 1 response out of 10,000 calls makes them $$
