Posted a 2016 F-150 truck on OfferUp for $2500. To good to be true so I just follow along and end up getting that email from ebay on how to make the payment threw ebay gift cards. Definitely scam! Oh and the person goes by the name of Gloria Webster which says she is in a military base getting ready to deploy.

I got the same BS off a FB car ad. The price was too good to be true. A ladies husband died and she was being deployed. Then got the email from “eBay” Buying eBay gift cards. Glad I looked further thanks for posting

Thank got I saw this. I got an email from the same address but in the name of Debra Swartz. Husband died a mouth ago and she moved away with her daughter. I almost fell for it!

This is a SCAM! Please beware and NOT buy on this!!!!

This scam is still on Craigslist.  Some one is selling the John Deere 2210 tractor/loader for their mother.  Patricia Delp emailed pictures, gave story about husband dying.  Offered to ship for free from Nebraska to east coast.  She had a deal with eBay to collect through eBay sales.  Scam became obvious, I didn’t fall for it.

I spoke with “Debra Swartz” for a 2007 VW Beetle, asking for $1000, in the Saint Louis area on Facebook Marketplace. Told me her husband died last month of a heart attack and she just wanted it gone. Then asked me for my full name, full address with zip code, and phone number. She sent me an eBay gallery link, but it’s super fake. I have got the same name, but I am in Australia! the same story - divorced, got caravan in settlement, selling it ridiculously cheap...in military about to deploy... using ebay but upon inspection, not actually listed! Oh my... what scumbags to do this! Like my mum always says, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!!
