- Bad number| 1 replyGot a call from this number but it hung up before I answered. From reading thr threads, the number is obviously assigned to a marketing company.

- BabyBoomerFolks, DON'T call these idiots back or pick up the phone to talk. You simply hang up! Most of these calls come from overseas and the numbers are "spoofed." But when you pick the phone up to talk, you confirm your number, and that's how you get on EVEN MORE LISTS! That info comes from an Attorney General Scam Investigator.
- DaleReduce credit card interest rate. Typical scam from the same idiots with different numbers. I answered because I want these jerks to know there are those of us who hate these calls. She was not long on the phone after I went into my rant.

- Raquel A replies to LBRRec'd a call this am from a man with an eastern Indian accent claiming he was calling from Windows Microsoft to inform me that my computer has been hacked and fraudulent files were being downloaded to their system from my computer. He asked me to go to my computer and verify an I.D. number that he gave me. I told him I couldn't be sure I was speaking with a genuine person from Windows and to give a phone number to call back. Then he hung up. What's up with that?
- Raquel ACall from a man with an Eastern Indian accent claiming he was from Micrisoft Windows technical dept.
He told me my computer had been compromised and ask me to go to my computer to verify an I.D. number he gave me. I said I needed to verify he was legit and give a phone to call him back. He hung up.- Caller: Don't know
- DaleCalled for the 3rd day in a row and have to be the dumbest people in the world. One would think when they are told where to stick this credit card interest scam that they would get the message. Today it was a foreign guy who could barely speak English and yesterday it was a sweet sounding woman but it is the same crap day after day. I answer just to give them a hard time but it does not take long for them to hang up. IDIOTS.

- Annoyedymous replies to AP"Hasn't been assigned yet"... is probably because they used this number as their mask when they called you using a 'spoofer'. The reason that the scenarios reported here for this number are not consistently similar is probably because there are many spoofers using this number from a number list that has been circulated specifically for this purpose.
- AnnoyedymousSame as from another number later in the day. I posted about it on the page for the other number. It's obviously a bunch of different jerks who are using number lists for spoofing.

- wildak8246 replies to F.Lee| 4 repliesI have begun to think the DO NOT CALL registry does absolutely no good. I have put my number on there so many times and I'm still getting phone calls. Got one from this number just now and I have a full page and a half of numbers I have kept track of that have called me in the last 2 months, some several dozen times, and that is my basis for saying that DO NOT CALL does not work. I just don't even answer anymore if I don't recognize the number, I just hit ignore.

- Dennis in NevadaI believe its a SCAM, they're phishing. They called me and said they are the Master Card Corp and that my Debit Master Card has been blocked and I need to unlock it immediately and to press 1 to access their automated system. Problem is I don't have a Master Card...
- WalkerUnknown name. Hung up after I said, "Hello!" Looking at the dates for when reports on these scum began, they have been being reported since 2008 at least! It is about time that someone "got them".

- ArkieEver since I switched my ancient phone (kept old #) for an android I've been inundated with these types of calls. I see the area code and just hit "reject"....so far it's the best way to deal with them for me.
- anonymousGot a call from them last night and when I called back the recording said that the number was not assigned yet
- MichaelMI've had the call several times, usually they hang up as soon as I pick up, I'm not sure what they get out of doing that. Today they pretended they were with Microsoft tech support, that my WIndows computer had been hijacked and was being used to commit hacking crimes. He siad he could log in and help me get rid of the hackers. Problem is I'm a Mac user! He had a good Indian style English accent and spoke about as well as most tech support guys you get when a company is outsourced to India. He made a few mistakes in his script. I took the time to point out that if he is going to scam people he needed a better script! They got him made and he hung up.
I have an Android smart phone and have used Mr. Number for blocking so I blocked him after the call. Mr. Number is free also and I like that I can set different kids of blocks for different numbers or texts. IT can also block email and it's very customizable.- Caller: Claimed to be Microsoft Tech Support
