Typical hang up & no message left! EVERY DAY it's the same old crapola! This time it was on 4/13/12 @ 5:05PM CT. There's a number on top (same) as the main #. HOW ARE THESE IDIOTS able to do this? Then when/IF U try to call back the # is not in service or disconnected. This STINKS! If we're on the DNC & Unlisted how do they always butt in? Robocalls/just lucky or WHAT? FRUSTRATING to say the least!

This number has been calling me for the past couple of weeks. I ignored it until today. I answered it and no one was there. So annoying.

Recv'd a call from this # @ 1:01 PM, 4/12/12.  Answered and it was a recorded message "This is concerning your recent ComEd bill", or something similar.  I didn't listen to anymore & hung up.

I got a call from 630-444-7474 & was told by a human that I could lower my com ed bill & gas bill & that I needed to have my account # & I said at the time I was at work.  It's a good thing I didn't give them my account # after reading this page.


The state's top attorney is lauding a government crackdown on the "robocalls" that seem to have a tendency to interrupt dinner.

"There are so many people who are just sick and tired of calls both to their cellphones but in particular to their landlines, and the new rule is going to prevent robocalls, automatic calls, going to your cellphone as well as your landline," Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan said Wednesday.

The Federal Communications Commission said Wednesday that it will now require telemarketers to obtain written consent from people before placing a robocall. Written does not mean handwritten, though -- electronic forms are OK.

The new rules also eliminate a loophole that allowed telemarketers to place robocalls if they had an "established business relationship" with the consumer. Now, they will have to obtain consent even if they had previously done business with the person they want to call.

Telemarketers will also have to provide an automated way for people to revoke their consent to the robocall by pressing a few keys on their phone during the call. If this happens, the new rules require telemarketer to add the person to the company's do not call list.

Chicago's Citizens Utility Board said the move will also be a good one for the telemarketers.

"From the telemarketer's standpoint, it's less phone calls they have to make, it's less people who you're pitching who are never going to say yes," said CUB spokesman Patrick Deignan.

The FCC said it is not changing rules that apply to informational robocalls, such as airline flight updates, school notifications or warnings about suspicious bank account activity.

The FCC and the Federal Trade Commission already had rules aimed at preventing unwanted marketing calls. But the FCC said despite this, "too many telemarketers, aided by autodialers and prerecorded messages, have continued to call consumers who don't want to hear from them."

Recv'd call from a person (no company name) stating they were calling on behalf of ComEd and that  they could lower my bill.  Didn't have my bill handy so they said they would call back at a different time.  I asked for their number and was hung up on.

Received call..left voice mail but with no message..just static.

Just got this call on the house phone at 11:01 a.m. In the Chicagoland 630 area code NW suburban area. Caller ID said BOROWCZYK S which apparently was spoofed. I answered with "Hello" but there was only dead air and a hangup 5 seconds later. Now that they know my number is legit I'll add this number to my block list to join all the other numbers they have called from.

Have been getting calls from 630-444-7474 every day since last Friday.  Caller ID simply says Illinois Call and caller refuses to leave message.  When I call the number back, I'm told the number isn't in service.  

Suspect this is a robo call from either a political group, a utility company like Com Ed or NICOR, or more likely, a scam job.  Calling the Illinois Attorney General's office isn't a help, they just say to disregard the calls, so they keep coming.  

It's really a joke how the government protects the rights of its citizens to PRIVACY!!!

see, the beauty of putting a PBX in my house is that I can program it to automatically drop calls based on CID data.  (or redirect the calls).

I have a nice list of these numbers in the ole database.  Phone doesn't even ring for them.

Got from this # on 4/16, 4/13, 4/12.  Sometimes there is no name, other times it comes in as S Borowczyk.  Annoyed is an understatement.

Received a call from 630-444-7474 and they said that they wanted to save me money on my electric bill, they told me to go get my comcast and electric bill, I said I was in my car in a parking lot and told them to call me back in an hour. They didn't.

I receive phone calls from 630-444-7474 sometime 3x/day.  How do I report this?

Scam. I get a call nearly every week from last 1 month . Its really annoying

Keep getting calls from this number. No one speaks up. They don't leave any vm. When I tried to call back it says number not in service. SCAM for sure.
