its a fraud because you cant even call them back.....so my best advice is when you see unfamiliar numbers like this you shouldnt answer and wait for them to leave a message

I said," there are such things like silent strokes heart attacks etc. My medical record doesn't indicate any of those diseases so if I die I expect you to pay out," They hung up. Give them the "ole polygraph test" from the start.

They just called, I didn't answer, and they left no message. And it was my cell number, which is unlisted. Great thing about my phone, I can block unwanted callers...so this number has been blocked.

Caller ID said "Illinois." I didn't answer, they left no message. Junk call.

Got one of those annoying voice activated calls from Jeannie, a good Indian name.  I told her that I had heart worm.  Since that is not on the list that kicks off the next annoying question, the phone went dead.

That's my dumb mistake and I'm supposed to know better........I answered the damn thing. Got the hang up routine, called back for the hell of it and it just rang and rang and rang, then sounded like someone picked up, a pause then started ringing again. Who knows?

National DNC Registry helps, but only towards legit companies. This company is not legit and they use VoIP types of numbers, which they are able to mask their number and make us think it's a legit company.

There is no easy way to track them over a land line, but through cell phones, someone is trying to make a type of system where these will be blocked. They do exist, but you have to register your number and ensure that your provider allows it.

Are you insane? You never, EVER, give you social security number over the phone. Occasionally a company that identifies themselves, and you are familiar with, will ask you for the last four digits of your SSN, before giving you sensitive information over the phone, but will never ask for the full number. Even in that case, if you say you are uncomfortable giving out that info over the phone, they will ask you to verify your ID with another item of personal info, or they will give YOU the last four numbers of your SSN, and have you verify that they are correct. However, no legitimate company will EVER ask you for your entire SSN these days, because that is how scammers get what they need to steal your identification, and empty bank accounts, apply for credit and run up everything to their limits, etc. To reiterate in case you didn't get the message, never, EVER, EVER, EVER, (ever), give out you social security number over the phone or online, ever, ever, ever, (do you get the importance of what I am saying?), ever.
