    Received a text message that it's "Tyler from Skalnek Ford" regarding a potential issue with my vehicle. Skalnek Ford is a local dealership in Michigan and this area code is definitely NOT in Michigan. Not sure who this really is.

    This number has been texting me with personal information only I would know but using incorrect grammar. I called the number and it sounds like someone from India. I have not received any letters in the mail regarding recalls, this is a SCAMMER. Block the number.

    Same thing. Saying my F350 has a recall and to call them at Courtesy Ford in Portland Oregon who I use. But the number is 636-498-9325 from Missouri! Spam!!

    Well you can assume it's spam and hope that the truck isn't recalled, or you could call your dealer up and ask them. Which do you think would be the better idea?

    I keep getting texts from (636)498-9325 claiming to be from my local dealership. It's not a local number, and they misspelled the dealership name. They have the right make and model of the car I own. But that is publicly available info. I vote scam.

    Scott claiming to be from my auto dealership sent an SMS wanting to make an at home repair service for a recall on my vehicle.  Normally I would have responded because my dealership does send me offers and does sms me.  However this message included my middle name which I NEVER use as well as a recall that is not valid.  I called the dealer and they said it wasn't them.

    This number is texting me claiming to be from my local Ford about a recall and asking for my address to determine if I’m within range for a mobile technician to come fix it.

    I’ve had an airbag recall in the past but have gotten that fixed years ago.

    Apparently some of the parts in the replacement air bags are defective so your best bet would be to call your local dealer, give them the VIN number, and let them tell you if it is recalled or not.

    Texted about a recall claiming to be "Sheri" from the local Ford dealership I go to.  Reporting to them their records may have been hacked.  I will also find out their privacy policy - shame on me for not doing so sooner.  I insisted on email with my service advisor and got "we can only schedule appointments by text"  - yeah no.

    Then it is simply an actual recall and they want you to get your vehicle fixed.  I would suggest that you seek treatment for your excessive paranoia.
