- BusinessThis number called a business and I was not able to hear the full recording since we have an automated message that initially picks up. There was no identifier just a notice that they needed a call back immediately to 646-437-6093 so they could record the information. ????
- Rebecca replies to AnnoyedSame here! I just checked because of your post. I had a voicemail but no missed calls.
Same message as above. Male caller, didn't leave his name. The voicemail kind of picks up mid-sentence.

- Tom replies to Cyndi| 1 replyI called them today (Feb 9, 2021). I asked to speak with Robert Johnson. The person who answered said there is no one by the name of Robert Johnson there.

- SallyI answered, it's a recorded message, no business name mentioned. They threatened to pursue legal actions if I didn't return their call about "incidents". It's a BS scam.

- Gina replies to ShannonOnly some scammer would use bad grammar in an important legal message - "...if we do not hear from YOURSELF..."
A real lawyer would use the grammatically correct
"...if we do not hear from YOU..."
You can tell they're bogus by their twisted misuse of words. - Beverly ShawStarted out by saying someone had filed a claim against me
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Garry replies to CyndiI got the same call today 3/4/21 , If you don't have a clew about who or what they are talking about ignore them .
- George R| 1 replyI just receive a call today, I assume it was a recording... They mentioned that I was involved on an investigation which requires my immediate attention and I need to call back. The number is 646-437-6093. I called back, it was Preston Scotts & Associates. This may be a scam.
After a litter internet search I found this link...

It may be useful.- Caller: 6464376093
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- B-Edwards replies to George RThe caller appears to be a debt scammer, so working with them as if they were a legit debt collector seems to me a waste of time. In other words, that link is probably not useful. Most people can get shed of phony debt collectors without having to pony up money to lawyers.According to what I have found, from their website:
The site might provide names for free, but the lawyers are not working for nothing. Makes your post look uncomfortably like a spam ad.Quote:"Stopcollections.org is not a lawyer or law firm. It is an advertising service paid for by the lawyers and advocates whose names are provided in response to user..." - post pending moderator approval
- Todd PylandThey called to collect a 12 year old payday advance loan for 300$. I informed them my grandfather payed it for me, and there is no way to get proof because he committed suicide a while back. He said interesting. And told me he will continue to call me, my relatives, and my employer.

- KarenSame voicemail received. I do not owe any old debts or have unpaid debt. This must be a scam, I did not call back, I deleted the message. Also, am on do not call list so a bit ridiculous to receive threatening messages for something I don't owe.
- Lois replies to Cyndi| 1 replyI just received the same call and he left the same message verbatim!!!!

- BigA replies to LoisYou will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two or more federal and state agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
