- Suzanne replies to Eddy WieczMerci. J'ai fait la même chose. Trèes courtois au téléphone. C'est une maison de sondage.
- KimberlySaid she was calling on behalf of a survey company on behalf of the Government of Canada. Was I available for a survey? I said no thanks, and she hung up.
- Caller: Some Survey company. She talked too fast to pick out the name.
- Call type: Survey
- Hannas Seeds (Lacombe)This lady from this number keeps calling me, saying she needs to do a 5 min survey for our farm operation (we have a SEED company) and speak to my boss... very quiet and hard to understand so can't hear her name/company, but I'm sure it's some kind of scam or telemarketer.
- Caller: ?
- Call type: Survey
- CurtLike the people from page 1, i called the 1-800-404-2464 number and they took my number off the list and said i wouldn't be getting a call.
- Caller: ??
- Call type: Survey
- AngelaThis number registers from Allstream Inc. I called it back and it wouldn't go through. Using the 1 800 number posted here they assured me I would be removed from their list. Ridiculous these people calling every damn day. Apparently its a survey she said, I said it's a Sunday and illegal for you to call anyway today so bugger off.

- Susan E KronenfeldI received an unsolicited phone call on my cellular phone from "Carrier MTS Allstream 647-258-0262" at 5:54 PM on Tue. 28 March 2017. I declined to pick up, not knowing if I could be charged for the call.
- DuckySo far this number has called me three times and I have yet to pick up. They also haven't left a message on my voicemail. My caller ID says it's a survey.
April 1st @ 2:30 pm
April 1st @ 5:23 pm
April 2nd @ 2:21 pm - shloime replies to Hamiltonclanmaybe it's not legal in canada, but they're not calling from canada, despite the spoofed callerid.
- shloime replies to Telehaterwanna bet it's not a genuine survey? there's probably a few questions to distract you, maybe about politics, and then the real stuff, some harmless sounding "demographic" questions like gender, household income, credit card, house or apartment, to "qualify" you as a live lead.
and then they'll start with the tele-harassing calls. - shloime replies to Lennonvoip is so cheap it's virtually free, and if they're calling from an offshore call centre, they're paying almost nothing for labour, either.
the only good thing about keeping them on the line is that you're tying up one of their lines so they can't rip more people off.
the bad news is that once you answer the phone, they mark your number as "live", and you'll get even more calls. - GVery clearly a scam. Man on the phone didn't even ask me my name before immediately asking me for my age and financial information. When I politely asked who was calling and how he got my number he IMMEDIATELY got defensive and aggressive, trying to bully me into giving him personal information. DO NOT fall for this aggressive tactic. Block block block this number.

- Invaded privacy replies to MikeFCC seems to allow big corporations to invade our Privacy for profit and gain. The government must have approved this action
- Rumple_Stilskin replies to SharroThat is the equivalent of bad guys Casing your Residence to see IF anyone is home and when.
I think it's shady and should be illegal. The entire phone marketing industry should be shut down. Furthermore, the ability of shady Collection Agencies to get away with un-blockable numbers, is a dis-service to telephone customers. The CRTC is obviously lobbied by these [***] corporations and doesn't give a rat's [***] about all the people that made Bell Canada Filthy Stinking Rich. - James replies to Eddy Wieczthank you so much.called the 800 number and they will remove my number
- WendyI have just bought a new phone/answering machine and it has a call block on it. These guys were first in line to try it out. 2 hours later they called again and to my surprise it worked. Paid for itself right there. Happy customer!! If your phone has it, use it. I too was told by Telus (Alberta) and the "National Do Not Call List" that telemarketers and charities are exempt from the list. I wish I had known a long time ago that doing it myself was so easy and the phone was not expensive!!
- Caller: Unknown but assume telemarketers
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ANN| 1 replyThey have been calling me for over 3 weeks. Called once a day. Then twice a day. Now they call 3 times a day

How many times will you allow them to call before you obtain a call blocker? Google (or your favorite search engine) is your friend.
