I got something like that via LinkedIn.com since July 14th 2015. What did Mr. Generous (Terry Bradbury - picture at the LinkedIn profile) asked for? Any secrets? Did you divulge something to Mr. Generous you wouldn’t tell anybody only to get the money? In case of 'Yes - I did!" may be this is a scheme of a hired private detective only to make you divulge this kind of information? In case of 'yes' it would be interesting to know who the principal of Mr. Generous is. Who is interested in that kind of information?

It is a scam.  They will ask you for money to pay fees, taxes, bribe border guards, whatever.  Nothing more to it.,   If you received that from LinkedIn you need to report it to LinkedIn so that they can terminate that account.
