Just for anyone wanting a few details. These kind of collection agengy will by our debt and try to get money out of you passed the statue of limitations date. They buy your debt a few months befor eit will expire on yur credit. I even had a call from them wanting me to clear up a debt from 10 years ago. The staue of limitations on any debt is 5 years and comes off your credit report after 6 years. So what ever they are calling about is about to expire! That is of course they are from Global Credit and not a bunch of scammers looking for Identity theft! SO be very very careful. I had a call last week from some one claiming my computer was infected ...I replied"I dont deal with scammers here!" And I never heard from them again.

I've been receiving calls from this number and I just found out is from a collection agency. Anyway, I don't owe money to anybody so it's bothering me because I get it so often at all times even when I am at school and it interrupts  me. I'd like to report it as unwanted.

These people called my cell phone and home phone asking for two different people at different times!

I gave them no info and wouldn't even confirm if it was or wasn't the person they were incorrectly asking for.

I did however get the persons name who called me one of the times. He claimed his name was Jeff Santos and claimed to work for Global Credit in Markham. I thanked him for his name and information and hung up.

I also recorded the call so we now have his voice print for identification.

Global called me again tonight looking for a William Moris, funny last week it was a Patrick they were looking for.

This co is BS and I intend or reporting them to my MP and follow up with the Police fraud squad if needed.

They have been calling me for 3 months straight now. I do NOT owe them any money, they are asking for someone who doesn't live here but doesn't believe me when I say I am NOT this person. It's getting ridiculous. Why should I have to prove to a stranger that I'm not the person he/she thinks I am?
Contemplating calling the police. This has to stop. They are calling me EVERY DAY...

I've gotten frequent calls from these guys originating from another number. Guess they decided to try another one. Usually leave either a voicemail that cuts off after the first syllable, or they ask for William Morris (I see others have gotten the Morris call too. Unfortunately Telus' call block won't work with this number and even if it did I filled up my dozen allowed blocks within the first week or so.

yeah i get the same calls as well, most of the time ther for my father but afew are for me , i just dont get it i made a deal with a different agdecye and they still got all the info wrong as well so theres is some thing very fishy going on . now im reseaching the last place i was dealing with to see what the h is goign on. i just came across this site after typing inthe phone number that been stoking my home phoneand it brought me here from the yellow pages. is so angery right know . cause i paid most off the money i owed offf now for 4 yrs due to the fact im a person on dissability.

I've had all of these phone calling my parents house for almost 2 mths now and I'm fed up. I feel as if this is extortion... am I being punked ...grrr not happy. The more I read everything on here the more I want to see a lawyer for help to shut these a holes down really.

I blew up too I was in a bad mood to start, I called them back 4-5 times asking for the manager in charge or the owner....I got hung up on lied to and told he's not available. Not available my ass I said are you kidding I everyone that answered back the number I called so many times was a different person never the same person. Last call they kept playing loud music and missing with the same volume on it too...for real.

I got calls over and over from then, the same ones people have been getting here and I'm in Ontario, Canada. I called them back and told them I keep getting calls from them and why are they calling? He asked for my number and I gave it to him and he 'looked it up' and then asked if I was someone who I'm not, and he confirmed my number again and said that they'll remove it and it'll take 24 hours to be removed.

He was pleasant enough.

global collection is the same american company that came up to canada, called people who didnt owe money and harrassed them so much that they paid even thought they didnt owe anything.  Government found out and took them to court and fined them and made them reimburse the people they harrassed for not checking before calling to make sure people owed money.  I think they were just randomly calling people to pay for their expenses cuz they were calling alot of people in alberta and other provinces to tell them they owed money when they did not, and harrased them into paying.
