Definitely a scam. They left a vmail saying they will garnish my wages for a debt. I called back blocked they said the debt was originally from 2012/2013 with CashNet, I told them its past the statue of limitations. They also said I was working at Target & living at xxx address. The address I have not lived at since middle school (im 33) they advised I can settle for $200 I told them i’ll call them back. I called CashNet & they had no type of account attached to my name. #SCAM

Well they are still using this number to scam you! I didn't answer and got this Voicemail message:

Got the same exact message left. They are dumb scams. A letter would come first with their name on letterhead. Jokes on them.

I got the same exact phone call saying the same thing.

Received a call from 904-901-0417 to the office I'm a gatekeeper for. A recorded message already in progress stated they have the legal right to garnish *your* wages & to call this number to resolve. There are over 50 people working here & even if this weren't a scam, I would have no idea whom to give the message to. The caller ID said GREEN CV SPG FL so I'm guessing the number they called from is in Florida.

New voicemail from +1 986-200-0020 (00:22):

Due to failing to pay your past due charge off debt collection account. We now have the legal right to file a wage garnishment under your name and social security number. If you want to resolve this matter without any further action contact them directly at area code 650-645-9664. Thank you.

IF they had a real claim, you would be in court where a garnishment order would be issued - not because they say so.  Typical illegal scare tactic!!

You are correct and thank you, I am aware it is a debt extortion call and they can't simply garnish wages without a Court Order. I was just posting the message they left for others to see it is a scam too.  :)
