believe this is the 75th time they called me since January 2022--scammer-did not call them back

I got that same message.....scam

They asked if me if I knew someone (who was not my name), and then she said that my caller ID said different. My number is listed under my husband, so I am not sure who she was fooling. She told me that I would receive a summons for court.

She lied. REAL process servers don't call in advance.

I have received the same threat. These scammers have way to much time on their hands. They are lazy idiots who do not get off their lazy a** to use their scare tactics to get free money. I do not fall for this. I do not scare that easily. Sorry scammer but your plan did not work.

This is an illegal practice of getting you to send them money for a debt that is either fictitious,  or was written off years ago by a lender. First off, any company that threatens you with legal action to collect even a "legitimate " debt is breaking the law and should be reported to your States Attorney General. In addition,  if you think you have an unpaid debt,  do not agree to pay a penny to any business that has assumed the debt without a copy of your original loan agreement. If the business doesn't provide you a copy than they can't legally do anything to you.

"Written off" is an accounting term used to get the asset off the books.  It does not mean that you no longer owe the debt.  They can tell you that they are going to sue you as long as they have the ability to do so.  One should always as for debt validation.  All the other accurate information people need to know has already been posted.

I just got this call with the same message. I am currently unemployed due to back issues, so I can't work. Good luck trying to garnish my wages when I don't get a paycheck. By law, a debt collector must mail you a letter within five days of contacting you. I have received nothing from them. I don't bother calling these people back. Damn scammers.

Dame thing claim they will garnish my wages and they call from 228-260-0621. No answer always busy when I call both numbers

Got this call today stating they have the legal right to garnish my wages under my social security. These scammed are a teop I guess the think everyone is stupid well not this one. It takes court order.

Received a VM saying "Due to failing to pay your past due charge of debt collection account, we now have the legal right to file a wage furnishment under your name and Social Security number. If you want to resolve this matter without any further action, contact our office directly at area code 650-645-9664. Thank you. Bye.". I love how they DO NOT say what company they are calling from or even their name. Scammers are SO STUPID!

Called stating a debt was owed but leaves no name or doesn’t mention who they’re trying to reach. Now stating wages will be garnished lol, yeah right! I really wish these folks would stop the madness!

This is the message I received in regards to this number.
Deposited a new message:
"Due to filling to pay your past due charge off that collection account. We now have the legal right to file a wage garnishment under your name and social security number. If you want to resolve this matter without any further action, contact office directly at area code 6506459664. Thank you."

I also got the same call. Thank you to the person who took the time to provide all that information!
