Received a phone call from Vance. Requesting I call immeditally. So I called back. Vance answered and kindly requested to speak with me. I responded with she wasnt available at the moment and that I would take a message for her. He said well isnt this the **FamilyName** phone, and if so I know you are ******. He wouldnt tell me who he was with or why he was calling so I could take a message.

Tell me, what would you do if, heaven forbid, something horrific happened to your significant other and you had to take care of them subsequently cutting down the household income to only one (small) bi-weekly check?? What would you do if there was NO money to even make payment arrangements? What does one do then?  Go to the government for help? We did....We were turned away with an "sorry, good luck out there"

Mike, if  "This guy really helped me out" is a true fact, then YOU didn't pay your bills, either!

Whether you are called a debtor or some collector thinks you can flush one out, you have rights and options. Many are simple to exercise if you only learn how. You are entitled to proof of claim and fair treatment. If one or the other is not provided, the collection agency should *not* win your assets. You are granted control of how you are contacted, the right to dispute debt claims, and the means to sue violators at low cost. The FTC and the CFPB can start you on your homework. See also if your state laws grant additional or stronger rights.

You know jack wipe, some of us don't owe. When I moved to mn, I got someone's phone number who obviously was in a pile of crap with debts. I have complained I have proven I am not this Patricia.. 4 yrs now I have been called over and over by debt collectors looking for her and by this damn number. I add my phone to a place I have purchased something, I have to correct them because it comes up as her name. she had been to that store and bought something. I'm sick of being harassed over some dumb bimbo.. if

I don't have any outstanding bills that I am not paying on.  I pay all my bills on time, every month, without fail.  I received a call from this number.  No message left.  You lovely people who are accusing those who have received a call from this number and assume that we must not be honoring our financial obligations need to find something better to do with your time.  Get a life.

How sad it is reading this. I know it is quite embarrassing being in collections, but why take it out on this Vance dude just doing his job so he can stay out of collections. All he is doing is asking if he you want to pay your bill. He even gives the good and honest people breaks on there bill.
He saved me $500 on a Anesthesia bill.

How is it you know this "Vance" character isn't a con artist? And what's more is why are you dragging up a three year old post to grumble about? No reports of him in almost three years to the date and we've got somebody on here offering praise to crooks. That might be disgusting to others since those kinds aren't taken kindly to on here. You don't have to be in "collections' to get a call from a thief.

There are many more people on your side. This Vance dude helps alot of people. Unfortunately, its the the ones who are embarrassed they are in collections, and the ones who have no morals that complain
