The scammers are getting more and more sophisticated and always have a way to use the system to their advantage. Here is a copy of the correspondence that I have had over the last two days for a large purchase going to Singapore. The address matches the address below of some of the other sellers. I hope this post helps others to avoid being scammed and ultimately hurt badly financially:

I'm sorry to tell you that your credit cards were declined. This is disappointing!

I am also sorry to tell you that because of the amount of this purchase, and because the equipment is being shipped expedited shipping out of the country, and due to the fact that we have had four credit card denials, this transaction has now fallen into what we call a "high risk sale". Because of this our company policy is to require a Bank Wire Money Transfer for the purchase of the equipment. Or the second option is to send us a certified bank check.

I too received emails from Jeff Finch from Singapore trying to purchase about $8,000 worth of equipment.  This appears to be fraud.

We are retailers in the UK. At the moment we are regularly targeted by fraudsters in Indonesia and Singapore. Fortunately we have not fallen for a scam yet and no longer ship goods to either country. Sites like this one are a real help in combatting global mail order fraud.

We recently recieved this email from a Tommy Chau in Singapore. The email instantly stands out as a fraud simply by the question being asked as shipping and card payment types are clearly shown in our terms and conditions.

I'm a web developer and one of my clients received the same email as most of you. The email message is below and from "Karina Lee". Their scam is pretty simple. They send out an email in hopes of a small business owner will be so excited about the "big sale" that they will jump on the opportunity. Since they will send the "setup" email before purchasing one may think everything is legitimate.  They ask for express shipping so they can get the product before you realize that you have been hit with credit card fraud. By that time they already have the products and have sold it on the black market.  As the old saying goes, "If it's too good to be true..."
