I recived a call from this number actually it showed 0000 in my caller ID .. but the person left a voice mail asking me to call 661-270-6408. because he wants to forword document to my address ! and If I don't call him back I will be in a big legale mass ! and he said this is second msg he leaves and that show him that I'm trying to avoid or escape ! and till then he wish me a good luck . the person was with a very heavy indian or pakistanies or what ever accent . his name was David Paul . which I don''t believe from the accent that he would have a david as a name lol. they did it last year to me they said I took a cash loan and I have to pay it and I fall for it and paid them . after 4 months they called again and said I will be picked up by police because I do owe a second loan  I told them fine let the police pick me up of course never happened. and now they are back to the same story .

I have received the exact same message but he said his name was Brian Snider - also a very heavy accent that is difficult to understand.  The message was exactly the same as above.  This is also the second time in a year that they tried to get money out of me.  This is a TOTAL AND COMPLETE SCAM.  First of all, I never took out a pay day loan.  Second, the police don't arrest you for failing to repay a loan- the company can you sue and take other steps but no one is going to come to your house to arrest you.

Basically same as first call but name was James Franklin.
Somebody has to be able to do something about these people.

I just got a call from Credit Bureau of Investigations at 916 395 0000.  The number the so called lawyer left to call back is 661 270 6408, Michael Sinclair.  If you call the 916, the number doesn't exist, so that is strange. I was scammed by Calf. Law Group before, reported them to BBB, and also did a special on our local WDIV news channel here in Detroit on how I was scammed in Jan. No, I didn't get a cash advance from anyone they mentioned and I don't owe anyone money like that.  Just hang up, don't talk to anyone, or say my lawyer will contact you.  They did threaten to take me to jail for 30 days, which I was told that can't do for a payment on a loan, even if it was legitimate!!!  Hang up.

Hi, I just got a call from a Kevin Parker from this same number as yesterday.  I tried to get Sprint to block the number, but they are still coming through, he left me a vme.  He said "good luck" at the end of the vme, OMG.  When will this stop?  I will have to change my number.  I think if one of these idiots get your number, they pass it around, because this is about the third time I've been harrassed since Jan., from two different places. I am calling a lawyer to see what else I can do to put a stop to all this BS.  I will go back on Detroit's WDIV to do another story, not that it will stop these callers though.

The easiest way to get them off your back for at least a little while is to just tell them that you accept the charges.  I had a little fun with "Sammy McClure" today who claims he is an Asian-American.  

If they refuse to send you something in writing, or if they continue to tell you that you will go to jail for a payday loan(which isn't possible), that alone will show you that they are frauds.  

I would be careful though, as more and more real call centers are getting outsourced to these "Asian Americans" with surprisingly Caucasian names.  I'm sure sooner or later a legit one will come up, so make sure it's a fraud before you do something you might regret.

Another way to discover that they're a fraud is if their number is spoofed, like 916 395 0000.  There is no way a number will have four zeros at the end.  Calling with a fake number is illegal, along with claiming to be a Federal Investigator, and calling someone's work after they've been told not to.  All of these things are very characteristic of these D-bags.

I cant take it anymore!!  I have been getting these calls since last Feb, i also feel for it because I do have pay day loans out so now they wont leave me alone..these people need to be stopped

I just got off the phone with this "Michael Sinclair".  he gave me the same song and dance.  he said the sheriff was on its way to arrest me in the next 30 days.  when I asked him for what, he got an attitude with me for asking a question.  I told him I can’t give him attorney info without knowing what I’m being charged with, how much, by whom, etc.  he couldn't tell me anything except for a bogus company, and that the loan was taken out in 2010.  sorry- never filed for one in 2010.  or 2009. he kept going on about how serious I should be taking this and despite my never taken out the loan, I'm still going to jail.  I argued with him for a good 1/2 hour about how I'm not going down for something I didn't do.  basically- I'm stalling while I google the number to find out information on this "so called" investigation group.  he's going on about my jail sentence, and pretty much trying every scare tactic in the book.  I said- I'm sorry- you said what did you say your name was? I called him out on being a scam artist.  he got defensive and testy.  I asked for the official name- and I looked googled it again.  no place exists.  I yelled at him about how I wasn't paying for this, and he screamed "YES YOU WILL" and hung up on me.

I immediately called my credit bureau and filed a report for someone tapping into my identity.  told him the whole story.  he told me that it DEFINITELY was a scam to get my credit card information and that he's making sure that my account is flagged for ssn usage.

I just got this call too, I asked the guy his name, where he was and his address and he actually fought with me about giving me his address. I owe a lot of people a lot of  money and any legitimate collection agency or company would be more then willing to give their address.  the first time this happen about a year ago I almost fell for it because I do payday loans often. I have been getting calls like this for months now,  I really do like arguing with them sometimes. Makes me laugh. There has to be a way to stop them though.

I just got a call from robert wilson asking for my address with a heavy accent from the number 661-270-6409. I just dealt with the same pay day loan stuff a few months ago with a john smith. Both times showing a 0000 number. The 1st time he called from federal credit law firm. Throw it into google youll see a thread of complaints against this so called firm. Just report them to police and keep hanging up on them.  I only have my mortgage loan out and no others and they are getting to tell me I owe money for a pay day loan I never took out so they are trying to scam money. Any official loan business is usually handled by mail and official creditors. Scams!

Tks for the comments as I am also receiving calls from Brandon Smith - doesn't sound like a US citizen.  He's saying there is a lawsuit against me and they are going to contact the company I work for.  I also got the good luck wishes as he was hanging up.

I have just gotten another call from the offices of Michael Sinclair.  When asked for his name, he said that he was Michael Sinclair.....and this is an emergency call regarding a loan......which I have paid for (stupidly) to a Robert Wilson (close to $600 and then $900) on or about......BUT NO MORE.  I have an attorney on this, and at some point, they will get tired and my feelings is this....they should get a real job and stop the scamming, because it will blow up in the faces, and we should be given the opportunity to harass them...see how they like it.

I got a phone call from a Sebastian Schneider and again from a Michael Sinclair (both with heavy Indian accents-I believe) on April 26, 2010 and was also threatened that the police were coming to my residence and/ or my place of employment and was told good luck as they ended their calls. The number also showed up as 0000.When I told him that the name of the loan I got did not match who he had me down for, he claimed my loan got to them-I believe I was scammed by the same people back in January doing business as California Law Firm/California Law Group. California Law Firm had a Rocky Anderson, Michael Miller and a Eric Johnson (also all with heavy Indian/foreign accents) calling me and told me also "good luck as the situation unfolded on me). Found out also that you can't get arrested for a payday/online loan non-payment. Thanks for the heads-up! I will never again let these frauds cause me another sleepless night!!. Next step-my lawyer and the Better Business Bureau.

After Mr. Williams and I exchanged unpleasentries he then said to me that I will know who he was and what he could do and wished me good luck. I am very upset to know that these people are scamming hard working American citizens. Times are TOO HARD today to be subjected to this type of nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Michael Sinclair just called me trying to get 540.63 out of me stating I owe a loan.  So sorry, he got life and [***] tucked up.  I got a call back in February and fell for that scam, but I did get my money back.  IT'S A SCAM, DON'T BELIEVE NOTHING THEY SAY. IF THEY CAN'T GIVE YOU ALL THE DETAILS, IT'S A SCAM.......... IF A 00000 NUMBER POP UP ON YOUR CALLER ID, IT'S A SCAM.  IF YOU REALLY OWE SOME MONEY THEN THEY WILL JUST TAKE IT OUT OF YOU ACCOUNT.

I am very stupid, I have just figured out i have been scammed out of a good bit of money. I had taken a cpl loans after my divorce I got behind I was trying to work on paying them back when I was contacted by these same people. I have been working with David Williams for 6 months because I thought I was taking care of the money I owed. I though I was done but it never stops I finally broke down an told my boyfriend who then googled the phone number an found all the info saying its a scam :( does anyone know where I start? Who do I call? Any info will help.

About the same time every month I recieve about 4 phone calls in a row from 0000. I finally started playing them at their own game and within a couple minutes they just hang the phone up, unitl the next month. I was scammed by the California Law Group for $1063.00, but luckly I was able to get my money back. But in the meantime had to change bank account info and put an alert on my credit and on my drivers license. It was such a hassle, now I am very leery when someone calls claiming I owe them money. There has to be a way we can put a stop to them calling.
