I can't believe all of the selfish post regarding a "phone call" about an outstanding charitable organization that is giving of their time and asking for help of people in need. Really! Why is everyone so paronoid about receiving a phone call that you don't know who they are! If they did leave a message then people would complain about that too. If it bothers you that much call it back and ask that they not contact you. We all should be willing to help others who have reached a low point in life just as you would want it if it were you and your children! Stop and think first before you post negatives about those organizations that actually try to do good in our society.

This is a Sprint number and if you call customer service they should be able to help.

You have no doubt they are a wonderful organization? Why? Non-profits are notorious for being shady! Especially if they harass people by calling daily and never leave messages? RED FLAG -- they're calling from a cell phone and they don't say anything if you answer! They want your street address...to see when you're home.

I have a limited amount of blocked numbers I can have, but this one is going on there right now!

Can you get all DV shelters on the same page namely Women Aware for one. Or can I transfer out of this place to one that will help me and my child. When you get out of bad situations the people supposed to be helping you shouldn't refer you to mental health places when you tell them your not sure of what to do. I came here a month ago and tried to express my feelings as I have been through alot. I think the case managers should be more involved, my stuff is in one place, my childs behavior is out of control and I legitimately have twelve things going on at once. So when I reprimand my child, or tell people that I can't figure out where to start because every time I think of  thing 12 pop into my head, I'm stressed and have little energy. There shouldn't be dyfs calls and pending mental health appointments made. There has been no abuse and all I want is to get my life together. A good job, decent car, or car repairs and an apartment so I can be self sufficient. Can anyone give me the ins and outs, find me some real help. I am on a waiting list for section 8 in South Amboy, I would love to get an apartment, and a decent job, or go back to school, and my car needs repair. My dyfs worker says that I am mentally unstable because I took the abuser back and I need counseling, that I shouldn't find a job as it would interfere with whatever she has planned. I was called and asked to leave a clothing donation on my porch and it would be picked up the following morning....'leave it out at least by 7:30am and someone will pick it up' I was told...how about, the items are still on the front porch.....if I had know that they would NOT be picked up...I would have just taken them to the clothing drop off points you see all the time around town.

Your inability to address the concerns brought up by my fellows Altantans tells me that you are just as they say, a scam. I find it DISGUSTING how you spin together these stories of DV to support your delusive program. DV is a real and serious situation. The fact that you are using it as a ruse to solicite people over the phone is dishearteningly depraved. IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU SAY YOU ALL YOU WILL ADDRESS OUR CONCERNS. You obviously have enough time to read the comments and reply. By not doing so it is quite obvious that you are purposely avoiding answering said concerns in order to avoid acknowledging your true, deceitful intentions.

I will never donate to your organization because of your extremely annoying, and frankly creepy method of soliciting donations!! I  will continue to block ALL the phone numbers you use and I will donate my clothing, etc to Goodwill, and by the way, Goodwill never harasses me with annoying phone calls! Also, there are other DV organizations I donate to and  I honestly don't believe you are a legitimate charity. Plus, who in their right mind would give their home address to the creepy folks who make the calls for you?
I totally agree with the previous poster.

1-770-807-3915 the call twice a day every day. We give to the kidney foundation and have told them that and to not call. How can we get this to stop. Will illness in the house there are times I maybe resting and do not feel I have to unplug the phone in order to rest.

This “charity” called me, ad nauseum, until I finally answered and was asked to leave a bag tagged “Hope House” on my front porch. I looked in my basement, found nothing to donate, and tried to telephone them to tell them not to bother to pick up at my house. All I got in response was a recoded message. I would not recommend this “charity.”

Hope House takes clothing donations and packs them and sells them as scrap.

The caller ID reads "Hope House" and the number reads: 770) 807-3915.  I tried calling the number back 'cause they never leave a message; I got a voicemail message (as if I had called a cell phone).  I don't like being solicited. If I want to make a donation, I will do it on my own time with a charity of my choice.  These calls are very annoying!  Go away already!!!!

Please take my name from your calling list 770 484 9904. The calls are becoming annoying at this point. I am also concerned about the legitimacy of your agency because it is difficult to call anyone in person. THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE.

You called for a donations and you did not show up.  I was donating two TV's, hand mixer, coffee maker, kitchen pots and pans, HP printer, fax machine, children's furniture, towels, picture frames and books. It took time to gather these things together and mark them as your donations.  I tried calling you , but there is no person to talk to.  I left a message, but no one has returned my calls.  This is the second time you have not shown up for donations you requested. Please don't call again.  There are other sincere organizations that have needs and have people you can talk to, that won't stand me up.

The caller indicated I should label the boxes.  How does the label need to read?  name, adddress, contents?   I have tried the 678 410 7350# multiple times and no one is available. The Hope House is a fairly New Non-Profit organization that provides a safe haven for women (and in some cases, men) that may be transitioning from domestically violent situations.  Any clothing and reusable household items that are donated help to generate funds so these services can be provided.  There are currently more than three families with approximately 18 children between them that are reaping the benefits of your donations.  We are working on the quantity of the calls.  Thank you in advance for your support.
