My coworker just got a call, she said her name is Christine Simmons and that she was calling about check fraud. How do you report this to someone??

Contact your local police department and local District attorneys office, also report it too the FTC

I believe you can also contact your state government and the state they are supposedly contacting you from and further report illegal business practices. They must send you mail verifying the company and the debt within 5 days after they first contact you...THIS IS THE LAW!

an investigator called about a financial company filing a complaint for check fraud - could not understand her name because she was talking so fast on the answering machine. called the number back and got a machine.

OnPoint Investigative Services was in the process of leaving a voice mail message for my son-in-law (who has never been linked to my phone or address.)  Not only did they leave the name of the company on the voice mail, they also specifically said, "a complaint has been served against you alleging that you have committed a deposited check fraud."

Unfortunately, being concerned that it was a legitimate call, I picked up the phone before they left more information.  At that point, all I got was a call-back number and a name.

If they are a legitimate debt collector, they are not supposed to be leaving the type of information they are leaving, on a voice mail message.  Since my son-in-law has a very common name, I suspect that they are just grasping at straws, attempting to track someone down by that name.

Even if this was a legitimate call for the wrong person, I have filed complaints with the FTC [877-382-4357] and the Georgia Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs [404-651-8600] because of the amount of information that they are providing in a voice mail message.

I got a call about two months ago from an Investigator Taylor, who stated that I had committed check fraud back in 2004.  This like others has to do with a cash advance that I had thought were all paid off when I closed my checking account.  Of couse they told me that I would have a warrent put out for my arrest.  I am a wife and mom of 3 so I jumped to make payment arrangements.  I then came to my right mind and called back to have them stop the payment, and they never called me back so I put a stop on the payment.  They did call back when they found out that my bank was not going to pay them, they then had the never to tell me that the account that I gave them ws stollen which was not true.  I offered to send them something from my bank and they would not take it.  I then was told that Invs. Taylor does not work there anymore when I called about about a month ago.  The last person that I talked to told me that I needed to turn myself into my local police department and I told him what ever and to do what he has to do.  Now low and behold, almost a month later Invst. Taylor "works for them" again.  It does not even sound like the same person.  To make a long sorty short, I told them if I owe it I will pay but you need to sent me proof which they will not.  So at this point, it is what it is.

Theses idiots have been calling me leaving threatening messages for quite some time now.  I finally spoke with them today and they are a joke.  If they call you laugh at them and hang up the phone.

I had a message on my cell phone from this number. It talked about loans and other junk. The funny thing is that my bank doesn't have my cell phone number - all they have is my land line.

I received a voicemail from investigator Taylor of Investigative Services @ 678-648-5476 x116. He said identified in a case of check fraud against Mary Palino. I don't know Mary Palino and I haven't had a payday loan in 8 years (thank God).  Where do they get their information from?

This is a scammer. They will posted as DA, investigator, lawyer and tell you that you wrote a bad check bounced. They will demand you to pay them otherwise they will have police to arrest you. All this is scam because they purchased some data from 3rd party vender and calling people to demand $$$. Do not give them any info because once they have your commitment to pay $$$, they will call you day or night and if you give them your SS#, DOB and bank account. They will transfer all your account $$$ and the last thing you know is you have a ZERO BALANCE in your bank account like 65 yrs old Ms. Steinberg in TX who posted on BBB regarding her terrible experience with this company (they scammed her $64,000.00 in 2008 and took her 2 yrs to get just $600 back. Rest of her $$$ is still in legal process).

This is the same company or syndicate with the mygenevawatch.com & CPA*Disaster Kit Gifts because they shared the same phone number. They are scammer who pray people has no knowledge about finance or mail ordering. I worked with CPA before and I heard ppl next room giving high pressure tactic to their caller and demand monies which they don't even know if they wrote a bad check. I know them have office in GA, LV and LA to make call to the victom. Hope someone will catched their act sonner or later...

they are fakes and cowards, I spoke to several ppl there cussing and swearing the whole time...I told the last person who called me for every 1 call I get from them they will get 4 belligerent calls from me...haha and suprise,surpise they stopped calling. I guess they the shook ones now.....

I have received several calls from this nbr. They have drivers license number. Said they were issuing temporary warrant and needed a debit, credit or prepaid debit card number immediately to stop warrant! Said they called DA in my county but when i asked for the number she told me id have to look up in phone book. Said it was a 5 year old check! They have all my info!!
