- M| 1 replyCaller said I owe money and if I did not pay he was going to throw me in jail
- Caller: US Bank?
- KAYCalled said I owed them money and if I did not pay they were going to put me into jail. I contacted my local police and turned them in. They had my SS# and the name of the local bank.
- KAY replies to MHey, did these people have your SS# and the name of your local bank and did you turn it over to your local police like I did?
- CJReceived a message from a Robin Garcia (male) requesting a call back regarding an extremely urgent issue. Repeatedly stated it would be in my best interest to call back before any legal action is taken as he may be in a position to do something. Left contact number of 678-954-0513. Returned call just to see how they would answer the phone as Robin never left a company name and was greeted with "front desk, how may I help you". I just hung up.
- AlfalfaAll,
This is only ONE of seemingly HUNDREDS of phone numbers "United Federal Bank"/aka/"States Predisposition Services/aka/"Bass & Associates" calls from.
This is a CRIMINAL operation! If you are contacted by them, hang UP the phone and immediately notify your local law enforcement agency, the FTC, the Attorney Generals' office in your State as well as Florida and in Georgia. The Florida AG's office is in the process of shutting them down, and they have fled across the State line and into Georgia to avoid prosecution.

- JTHEY ARE SCAMMERS! These people used to operate out of Florida, and were almost caught but slipped over thru the border to Georgia border to avoid prosecution! Scammers like this can almost operate within the law except for the stolen information they have received and how they are using it is where they screwed up. Ya, I got the same call just yesterday, and like you others they said the same crap, "Their criminal investigators, blah..blah and they were going to arrest me, blah..blah and called me at my place of work. I was ok with the scam that I knew it was laughing at the guy and stuff, until....he read off to me my social security #! Now I have a problem with him. Well lucky for me, practically 1/3 of my family is an employee of some kind in the FBI. To make a long story short, I'm taking a plane down to Atlanta, GA. tommorrow to visit these people personally, along with a few family members ofcourse! I was able to perform a trace when I called them back and told them I was some Bob guy's name I made up, and about half way thru the speech again they gave me the first time..(which all I have told them up to this point is that my name is Bob Marley) by that time we had the trace complete. I will let you all know how it goes after..we are flying down there in a few hrs! This should be interesting....!
- Caller: United Federal Bank or Whatever..
- BTThese guys were featured on 60 Minutes. They got their information by hacking into Internet sites, and they threaten lawsuits against the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. They speak with an Indian accent, and they claim you will face "harsh legal action" unless you send them between $500 and $1,000. They are total idiots because their name does not even make sense: United Investigation Bureau Department.
They use names like Roger Smith and Jack Jones, but their real names are probably something like Mahamanda Yogananda. They can barely speak English.
They use various call back numbers including 347-844-6701 and 718-766-7916.
The best idea so far was what Paybackisabeatch suggested. Turn the tables on them. Call them back, ask for Habib, waste their time so that they cannot make money with scam calls to extort money from honest people who may get frightened or confused.
