Automated message saying that they had obtained information from the DMV that I was paying too much for insurance - THIS IS A SCAM - don't fall for it.  Just hang up.  They try to get you to press buttons on your phone during the call - DON'T DO IT!

These butt hats call my Skype number, which is  USA number that keep, (I have am an American expat living in Germany).  This is not the first time they've called me.  Annoys me so bad.  I keep this number so that my elderly family members don't have to call a long German number if they want to contact me.  So it scares me to get a call on this number.  >:(

I got a call from this number a few minutes ago. Glad i found out this was a scam (didnt answer the call but wanted to search the # ) Well, if you have a "smart phone" (Android) it allows you to put the # under the REJECT LIST. Thats what i did. Lets see if they ever call again.

This person called on our cell phone we did not answer it and they left  a message saying we might be paying to much for auto insurance. We called them back from our house phone and it said it was mary calling and then a man answered . I ask where the company was located and he said in Tx , I said but where in Tx is it located and he said are you wanting an Ins quote ? and I said no and so he said by and hung up on me, before I could ask him to take us off of the do not call list. We tried to call them back and they fixed the phone where it would not ring and would say you have reached a number that has been disconnected or it said you must dial the area code in which I did so they knew what I was up to so they did not want to hear from me.

Spam, scum lawbreakers.  If they ignore DNC laws, what other laws will they ignore?  NEVER deal with telemarketers who are breaking DNC laws.  I handle them this way - I call them back hands-free, then get the wireless extension and as soon as someone comes on the line, I click the hands-free on the extension so all they hear is the excruciating feed back.  I do this enough times until I can no longer get through, which means they've now blocked my number.  I do this with any telemarketer who is stupid enough not to spoof their number.

Im wondering if this is tied to a Monster University / Disney promotion in Florida I just went online and signed up for? Within 30 minutes I have gotten 30 of the same emails about auto insurance and just received this call coming in from Texas. Doesn't take long, ha LOL! They didn't leave a message.

I did not answer, they left no voicemail, but when I called the number back it was a voicemail for an auto insurance quote. Sales call.

These people are ridiculous. They have called me from numerous numbers with the same message about overpaying for auto insurance. When they first called I wasn't even paying for insurance because I didn't have a car at the time. I finally called them back today and tried to speak with a supervisor and was told there isn't one available. I called a few times, getting different people each time and was told the same thing. And each time being hung up on. Got the name "Insurance Placement Center" from them, but looking that up doesn't seem to find anything except pages about random numbers and scams. Eventually when I called back it said the number was no longer in service. But I called it from another phone and it still is. Will be reporting this number and the other number they called me from a few days ago to the police department. Hopefully there is something they can do. Honestly doubt it though! Ridiculous that they can just get away with stuff like this.

I take it as a BFD. $3000 checks as settlement for less than 5 hours of work seems well worth it to me. TCPA has some seriously sharp teeth.

They said they knew what I did last summer.

    1) Rented commercial cement mixing truck from Enterprise.
    2) Left vehicle unattended with parking brake disengaged.
    3) Failed to report vehicle rolling down steep hill, into Barton Springs Pool.
