- HERMAN| 1 replyI am on do not call
- Caller: UNKNOWN
- PitaEvery day this number rings on my phone, sometimes more than once and never is there anyone on the other end. I would LOVE to stop this from happening!
- TreborCall my business line at least three times a week, never say anything cuz I dont answer hello, answer as my business. This place needs to be shut down!
- Caller: ???
- MarjiI've received 3 calls from this number just today. No one responds immediately when I say "hello" so I hang up - my typical response to calls of this type. Since the Caller ID lists the number as their name, I'm not sure what company it is or what they want. I'd really like to find a way to have my number removed from their call list.
- Caller: unknown
- Jess replies to eric lithinstienI have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry and you all should do the same.
- HEY ALL replies to RLP| 6 repliesIf you are already registered on the Do Not Call List, go to their website AND FILE A COMPLAINT!
Here it is: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
It only takes a minute to file a complaint, and it will get the government on their butts.
I just did, these idiots call my phone a lot, and from what I see here, they are really bothering many others. - bugsmenew unknown caller has been annoying me calls leaves no message i don't answer unknown callers.
1-701-248-1216 - Me replies to HEY ALL| 5 repliesThat won't get the government on their butts! The do not call list is a scam for do nothing government jobs. If they actually did their job you wouldn't be getting these calls.
- Someone Else| 2 repliesDon’t bother with complaining to the FCC or your states attorney general. They won’t do a damn thing. The DO NOT CALL list is just an excuse for more do nothing government jobs. The best you can do is just irritate and waste as much of those s.o.b.’s time as you can. I prefer to get a live person on the line and lead them on or ask them to tell me all about their product, then set the phone down and walk away. I suppose it is possible to sue those morons. Too bad we can’t have the do nothing government employees as co-defendants since this wouldn’t be going on if they did their job.
How I long for the days when long distance calls were expensive and placed through an operator, and people had something better to do then blab on the phone all day so they could tell someone every time they blew their nose. “Duh… I’m in line at Walmart. I think the clerk is trying to tell me something. I wish she would stop bothering me… my nose just dripped into the phone… blah, blah, blah…."- Call type: Telemarketer
- Payback replies to Someone ElseThere are other ways to handle them. For example doing a VooDoo on them will disable their limbs :-P
- KatShel replies to markI put them on my reject list option my phone has on it. I won't even hear it ring anymore. They have been calling incessantly....what a pain!
- Carla JonesI got several calls from this number: (701) 248-1216
and they either hung up on me or do not leave a message.
I would like to know where these calls and this particular phone
number is coming from.
Thank You- Caller: unknown
- BobbiCalls but do not leave message, I do not answer unknown or numbers I don't recognize. I feel like that would give them reason to continue calling because that means the number is correct/active.
- Caller: unknown
- LeeReceived a call but could not answerimmediately; they did not leave any message.
- Caller: No identification besides the number
- JessTGot a call from this number, but did not answer. Many times these "You just won" telemarketer calls are exploiting a loophole in the national do not call rules. They say you've won something, then have you go through a brief survey. Survey calls are exempt from the do not call list, which is why they are able to spam us via phone. I find if you just never answer the calls, they do stop calling. I hope this helps out!
- Caller: Unknown/Telemarketers
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Gary Pollard| 1 replyI keep getting calls from this number and I request to be taken off of the calling list!!
- Caller: Not Sure
- Call type: Telemarketer
- justbob46 replies to Anonym| 1 replyHow can I stop these [***] from calling my phone? It is quite a nuisance.
- TomI got a voicemail and it said it was registered to a person named [***] no joke
- Caller: Unknow
- Resident47 replies to Gary PollardI'm sure you do, but you need to take your problem *directly* to the call source. No one has a magical power to reveal your phone numbers through some anonymous comment. The phrase is NOT ''take me off'', but ''Add this number to your Do Not Call list''.
- Resident47 replies to Someone ElseWell, by that logic you'd best file another lawsuit and name all whatever-million police officers across the USA as defendants for letting most of the jaywalkers and highway speeders go unhindered. As already explained in this thread and in referenced material, nuisance call laws were neutered the moment cheap VOIP and number spoofing became fashionable. This is a replay of the same problem seen during the rise of email spam.
The Do Not Call registry becomes more valuable than ever in this scenario since the very first call from a scammer is illegal. Strip that, and you have to wait for a pattern of calls before invoking the TCPA. Complaints do matter, for what you permit you encourage. You don't get instant or personal satisfaction but add to the uproar needed to effect change.
