Recorded scam call about free entry to a lottery. Call repeated 5 times in quick secession.

Just got a phone call from them @ 1:02pm CST Today. I answered and nobody said anything. Makes me wonder.

Current weather indicates Fargo, ND at 9degrees F, with a 'feels like' of -7.  They must've froze their brains, addled themselves too bad to realize how much we all despise telemarketing weenies... Just got a call from this number on my cell, but shows up as '11-701-248-1216'.  International calling code?

go to your cable subscriber if you have phone and internet and tv combined and give them this number. Tell them you want it blocked and you wont recieve any calls from them agian.

Wish I had a button to push that would melt the phone on the other end.  Unknown recording but they caught me by surprise on my Cell Phone, while out riding my bicycle.

This caller or Company CEO, and stock holders should be boiled in Oil and left to the birds and ants to pick their bones clean in the public square.  All there holdings should be confiscated to reduce our countries debit, and their families should go without.  Tis the responsibility of the family members to make certain their spouses or parents are not telemarketers, no crying over lost assets.

The Telemarketing Lobby is flush with money and pays off the house and senate members to prevent any infringement on their illegal activities.

I have had FIVE calls in a row this morning from this phone number (701-248-1216).  Really not nice since I work graveyard and was woken up by telemarketers!  Grrrrrrr.  

My cell phone is now getting turned off. :-(

The International DNC list doesnt mean anything. If you are in the phone book, you will get called.

Just called back and got an automated message about an "opportunity" to win money and hear about products and all that garbage...

It says press 1 to continue or press 5 to be removed from their list. I pressed 5. Hopefully that works.

Usually with things like this, it you listen to the whole message they'll have an opt out option.

Please tell me you are data-mining all of this to send reports to the FCC to get these companies fined or destroyed.

Probably the reason the "Do Not Call" list is ineffective is that the number originates from a robot dialer.  It continuous calls numbers at random or maybe in sequence. The company might have a several dialers with different numbers.

The object of the call might be to locate modems or fax machines on the line. If a modem or fax tone is not detected, the call terminates.

Call your service provider. They can probably to tell you how to block the number.

Clearly you do not understand how the DoNotCall Registry works. The Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. Socialist Europe has opt-in marketing where telemarketers are forbidden from calling you unless you give them express permission beforehand. Capitalist USA has opt-out marketing where telemarketers can call by default and it's up to you to get them to stop calling if you can. Big business and the Republicans fought against the creation of the Registry and we are lucky to have what we have today.
