Go to Option "Savenumber" on your phone. Call it ignore or spam or whatever.  Then set special ring for Spam/ignore to "silent" save number and viola!  next time they call it won't bother you in the least.  FCC ain't worth CRAP- don't answer any number you don't recognize- legit caller will leave message and these POS's will run like the cowards they are.

These people are rude as hell when all I wanted to tell them is that I wanted on their DNC List. Finally after 3 calls and being hung up on twice,  I made my point clear.

Dont hang up!! If you can keep a calm voice, just tell them to DNC your # anymore. lets just hope it works.

I received a call from this number as well.  Some states have changed stalking laws to include phone calls/ harrassing phone calls.  File criminal stalking complaints on them. I called back and pressed #1.  We will see if I continue to get calls.  As a side note,  Non profit organizations are allowed to call the DNC list (this might be how they are getting around it).  Something def needs to be done.

caller keeps asking about smoke alarms,i tell them that i can't understand them and to speak to someone who can speak english. after the 8th person they started to call me a fluk??

I receive a call from this number several times a week. Caller ID says Ideas Com. I have never answered and they do not leave a message - except saying, Hello...hello....hello - until they realize they are not talking to anyone, but to my voicemail. Duh!!

This company just does NOT give up with trying to get a hold of my husband and I. We have caller ID and do NOT answer them. They call us a few times a day and NEVER leave a message. If it's that important, then they will leave us a message. We just recently started getting calls from them within the past month. We have never heard of them before and would like to never hear about or from them again. We are on the do not call list and we still get sales people calling us daily. It gets annoying. So thankful for good ol' caller ID! =)

Just recieved a call from 701-625-5002. When I answered, there was no one there, just music playing and then they disconnected. I immeidiately called them back to find out who it was and got this messaged saying if I wasn't interested in their offer, to press 1. I did so and the call ended. I got to wondering if I should have done this and immediately called verizon. They have blocked the number.

I see alot of talk about the DNC list, complaints and lawsuits but some of these numbers have been calling people for quite some time judging from the dates on some of these threads. Many mention winning a contest or being offered free merchandise. Obviously these callers are trying to drum up business or have alot of time on their hands.

Noticing that many people still receive calls after trying the remedies mentioned above one would have to wonder what the outcome would be of helping them out instead. Maybe if they had more customer calls they would not have to rely on what seems like cold calling with fantastic offers or contest information to make a living. One is prone to wonder what the results would be if everyone that has received a cold call would instead help them out by creating an attractive description of their offers on a free or contest site along with information to contact them. Maybe they would not have to rely on cold calling so much.

Like I said just a thought.

I recieved a call on my cell phone from this number today and did not recognize it.  I then googled the number and found several listings about this number and a scam.

Got at least 20 calls from this number in 3 days. Asked them to remove my number, but they kept calling back. I finally told the guy I already have a home security system, and described it in detail. No calls since then.

How is winning a GE security system not a call from a security system company? I'm lost. If they're trying to sell or give away a security system, doesn't that mean the call is regarding a security system?

I am getting so frustrated just like everyone else.  These people have been calling me now for well over a YEAR. Usually I can barely understand their accents. I've had people who have tried to smooze me personally, I have had people claiming to be GE, I have had people trying to sell me security systems and I have people who will never respond when I say Hello.  I just got the latter kind of phone call. I say Hello? Helloooo....HELLO....... and all there is is air on the line.

The other day I reported a telemarketer calling my cell phone (which I NEVER give the number out for business transactions).  I got a huffy sounding recording tell me this is the LAST time they are going to call to reduce my credit interest rate on my credit cards.  It's never the "last" time and the kicker is I don't have any credit cards to worry about interest rates.

I wonder if these two are the same?  They are different numbers and area codes....  Hmmm.
Sad thing is I keep reporting both of these calls to the DNC list people and nothing ever stops or happens.  It's like I didn't take time out of my day and life to report these calls. That's frustrating me, too.

I also just filled out an FCC Complain, we get hang up calls all the time and this time I caught them.
