These asshats call at least daily saying "this is not a sales call but do you have working smoke detectors"....Usually I don't pick up but when I have it's to tell them I am on the don't call list and to take me off their list.

also recieved this call... music followed by a hang up.  I think this has something to do with Directv.  Anyone else recently sign up with directv?

Caller hung up.

just to help you out....this number comes across my caller id with the IDEAS COM listed as the caller....  refuse to answer this number...however, 'bout had enough and the number had best quit calling or reporting to AG...let the chips fall where they may on whose fault it is!!

donot want phone calls forom this no /couldnot understand person neveeeer did understand them

i didnt answer im on no call list.  The number was 701-625-5002

I recieved this call today. Interestingly enough I believe this to be a direct result of my purchase from Home Depot, as they are the only ones I had given my cell number to. Many stores sell your phone number to "lists" in order to make money. The spoofing can occur from anywhere. If anyone calls your cell phone however you can block or reject them with your phone. They will then get a hang up whenever their dialer attempts to dial your number. Many companies are being "spoofed" by others to attempt to avoid the DNC list. Unfortunately anytime you give your number to anyone (including your employer) they can and do sell your name to "lists" who then turn around and sell it to anyone who will pay (telemarketers, catalogs, junk mail, even chain letter type lists). If everyone who has complained about this here would WRITE a letter and MAIL it to their congress person asking them to outlaw these practices, perhaps some action would be taken. Reporting spoofers to the FCC is a good start, but current legislation doesn't really punish these people. And emailing the congress person doesn't work. A handwritten letter is worth a million forwarded emails.

Got a call on my cell phone... I have no idea who it is and only 4 people have my number.  I only use a cell phone if I want to talk to someone... Not for them to call me....

I did not answer the call and will not answer the call...

called 1618 27 May rang twice and hung up - sheer harrassment on my cell

just got this call and did not answer. - I NEVER answer calls from out of state or 800 numbers that I do not recognize, or "unknown" or or "private".  Why would anyone? If it's important, they'll leave a message and you can call back if you want. Otherwise, assume a telemarketer or scammer who you don't want to talk to anyway.
Interesting that folks have reported getting repeated calls from this number. Today is the first I know of. Hope it's the last.

they are still at-large, just received a call 2 minutes ago

Recieved a sales call on my cell and I am on the DNC list.

We get several calls a day from this number, when we answer they hang up on us.Caller I.D has IDEAS.COM on it.I just want them to stop calling !!!!!

DKR these probably get your number through some online or credit you have applied for.  From what I understand once you give your number it is considered public and DNC no longer applies.  I have started giving a number I NEVER answer.  This includes everyone hospitals, credit apps, job searches, bank loans, anywhere you give your number so beware when you give your number.  I have done this for years although I am on DNC.  Attorney General only works for debt collectors from my experience.  So just DON'T answer if you don't recognize if they don't leave a message just know it's not anyone you want to talk to!

I do not appreciate getting unwanted calls from unknown numbers!

Do not EVER call cmpanies like this and leave your number to be placed on a DO NOT CALL List. They do not give a rat's [***] about your DNC rights or they wouldn't do this to begin with. All you have done is verified that you have a legitimate phone number that will stay embedded in their system. It's no different than responding to spam you receive. That's how spammers know they've reached a valid email address. I received a call on my cellphone from this unidentified company tonite around 6 p.m. I didn't hear it ring and no message was left. If it happens again, I will permanently block it since Verizon Wireless offers that permanent call block feature for purposes just like this. If you have received the call on your cellphone, see if your carrier offers a similar service. It's easy, free and simple and more effective than complaining to a government agency, trust me.

both my husband and i received cell calls tonite from this number. he got noone on the other end-just music. i got a man who barely spoke english wanting to sell me home security. i dont appreciate getting spammed on my cellphone now, thats the reason we got rid of our home phone-too many telemarketing calls!!!

They call and don't leave a message, but they wait until it shows up as a message but then silence. I am on the do not call list. Guess I will report them too.
