Seems shady.  There was a recorded message that it was for a Google local directory.  Press 1 if you are interested in being listed in the directory.  I pressed 1 and was connected with a "live operator" who started asking for information about my business.  I said I'm already listed in the Google search engine so before I give you any information, I need to understand why you're calling.  He said thank you and hung up.

Same number called, but I found this before it was finished ringing so I didn't answer.

Holy crap, these all happened today?! That's insane. Hardcore mail-bombing... I just didn't pick up and wondered WTF.

Here's the voicemail transcript from google voice.

"Hey guys, actually. Martin here. We spoke on the phone last week about possibly trying to lower your interest rates to reducing your monthly payments on your credit card. I wanted to get back to you let you know that I did find a solution. We've got a program that can lower the interest rates to as well as 1.5% and possibly try to run the payment in half and see if you are only making the minimum payments. This would be great opportunity for you. This will be mailing courtesy call, so please gimme a ring today if you can reach me at 1(866) 553-1917 again. That number is 1(866) 553-1917."

They called here, but I let it go to voice mail.  Have no clue who they are or what they want.  However, be aware that there is a company calling saying they're "Green" something or other. They are offering discounted copy and printer toners - this is the same scam company that was doing this a few years ago.  They're in California, but the callers are from tell you they're from Nevada, or another state.  Ask where their home office is.  If it's California just say no thanks and don't call again.

I just received an anonymous call from 701,625,5916, too.

Talked about reducing rates on credit card and said we talked last week. 1-866 -553-1917 is the callback number.  This was a voice message.

I got this same call, but it was a female voice.

Just received a call from this number. Not sure who it was. They simply said "hi" and hung up.

Got a call from that number at 11 am today. I'm a male.

I just picked up the receiver and hung up again.  
I am not wasting my time with them.

call 888-261-4603 and [***] them out. thats what i do everytime they call me. sooner or later i will get removed

Called on my cell phone. For the last 7 days straight. I finally looked it up. Each time they call, just press the # key a whole bunch of times until they hang up. They will get so confused!!!

they are a debt consolidation company, dont use them

Me too.  I didn't answer it this time but the last time they call I did answer it and there was nothing but silence on the other end.
