Received call from Thomas, caller ID # 702-421-7510.  Started ranting that we owe $433.88 from a trip to the Star Dust in Las Vegas, Aug. 2004. Told them this was a fraud, calling police, we hung up.  They immediately called back from 480-319-9960 threating taking us to Court since they were a collection company.  I Said wait a minute, I am going to record this conversation so I can remember all you telling me.  After that he never said anything material. Supervisor said he was trying to help us, work it out instead of going to Court.  Said they would e-mail the information, hung up, never received any informataion

Got the same call.  Everyone trying to help They said they were from ETC(excutive Travel Consultants) a partnership of First Class Travel Wise.  Same statement we owe 433.00 for not completing our vacation package.  Supposely we were suppose to take 2 vacations not one.  Claims to be the collections department

Same as the other comments...  Claimed we owed $433 to Tuscany Suites in Las Vegas for not completing the required tour.  We stated we did go on the tour.  Person replied that was the front end tour, you did not take the back end tour.  We were there in 2004.  Makes you wonder how they obtained all this information.  Threatened legal action and was very rude.  We hung up.

A man stated his name was Steven, and that we owed $433.88, for some sort of BS that happened 4 years ago.  I told him that I would check it out and call him back.  He gave me the number of 877-948-8900, which is a bogus number. I told him he was full of crap and he could take us to court or do whatever he wanted to do, and then I hung up.  He called back within 30 seconds and I let him have an earful, I know it's a scam, but I would still like to get my hands around his throut.

I got called Thursday night at 11:18 PM. The guy who called me kept passing me off to a guy named Sean Cole and they said I owed them 433.88 because I signed a contract that was not fufilled four years ago and that it is now 1 month past due.  The travel date in question was June 2003 so it was much longer than four years. I looked up the company on BBB in Florida

I told him to have his attorneys contact me.

We received a call about a trip we took he said four years ago so that also would be about 2004.  They said that we did not take the required back end tour and that we owed their company $400.  We said that they were not getting anything and hung up.  They immediatly called back and we said that if they persisted in harassing us we would call the police and hung up. I'm glad to have found this forum .  All the same time frames makes me think that somebody got a hold of a box of info and they are phishing on the phone I guess hard times and the holidays bring out the con men.   I think the LVPD should hear about this who do you contact?

Happened to my parents as well.  They gave me all the information from there call and it matches everything from the above posts.

Economy Falls, Scams Rise

I was spending a quite evening at home on a Friday evening when I picked up the phone and found myself confronted with a bill collector demanding an immediate payment of over $400 dollars. After a brief moment of embarrassment, I remember that I pay all of my bills. After 10 minutes of intense hostile conversation, I'm able to make out that this company had offered me a "free" vacation package years ago in exchange for listening to a 90 minute timeshare presentation. I took them up on thier offer, listened to thier presentation, and went on with my life. Now, they say I owe them over $400 dollars because I didn't complete the "second part of the agreement" and purchase another vacation from them. The only problem, of course, is that I knew nothing of this. This bill collector assured me that I had indeed agreed to the second part even though he wasn't able to provide the date of the original agreement or state that I had signed any agreement. He simply told me that he knew I had stayed in a hotel as part of thier agreement, so I owed him the money.
After a few hours calming down, I began investigating this claim. In just a few minutes investigating the name and phone numbers the bill collector gave me, I found a great deal of evidence pointing to a SCAM. I came up with several names, phone numbers, and addresses spread across the country. I also found numerous posts accross the internet from other victims of these rude and hostile attempts to rack in the cash from operators claiming they work for this same company. To top it all off, this company has the worst Better Business Burea Rating that I have ever read!

Received a call (703-859-9336) tonight claiming I owe Travelwise money.I wanted to know what was Travelwise and what money. Neither question was answered and I hung up. A few minutes later another call came from
480-319-9960 claiming to be the supervisor of the previou caller. I asked the same question and received the same answer. They would not give me information unless i gave them personal information. When they called they knew my name and my wife. I sensed something was wrong and called the phone company. they told me to do a *57 and they would investigate after the third call. They must be wise to this also because they did not call back. We also sit in on a free LV presentation about 3-4years ago.

Same thing happened to me here. Got a call from this number about the same $433 debt and how they would help me get out of it by doing another time share package. I told him I didn't owe anything and I woudl sue him for harrasment and fraud. Had to hang up. They called back but I did not pick up. I hate to think but I'm sure they are actually getting people to fall for this.

I am in the Los Angeles area and this was regarding a trip in 1994 to San Diego.

Basically, the same story as everybody else. They said that I stayed at Sahara hotel in LV back in 2002 during Christmas for $99 and did not participant a tour and resulting a payment of $400. They have all my correct information and they even got my e-mail and send me the e-mail about my payment when we were talking on the phone. I figure out the call is fraud when they sent me the e-mail with a date of 2004 instead of 2002. I told them the date was wrong and they sent me the same e-mail with the correct date. So, I hanged up the phone.

Got a call tonight in Boston. Same thing. They said that they have been trying to email me and mail postcards for 6 years about a vacation I took in 2002 to Vegas. (interesting that they never tried me on my phone as it's the same number) I told them to email me the info and they said that if I didn't pay the $433 tonight, it would go to collection and the 3 credit agencies plus a lawyer and cost me 433 plus 11.5% interest  plus lawyer fees. Also that I would get a date to show up in civil court. I hung up and they sent an email from "firstclasscruisevacations@comcast.net" with a word doc attached outlining the supposed terms from my original package with Leisure Time Travel. Problem was the "letterhead" which was just a logo pasted from www.firstclasstravelwise.com. No other info in the email except that I paid $99 for my package. (On the original trip, I paid for my 6 friends on my credit card and they paid me cash. That probably cost a little more than $99)

I received the same call on 12-3-08!! the only diffence was that they said we stayed at the Stardust on August 2003. I as well hung up and someone esle immediately called back with exactly what you said. who should we contact to report this?

I received the same call, only I stayed at the Saraha in Laws Vegas,  I was travel to California and only stayed one night.  First Class Travel Wise demanded $433. from my husband.  He refused to pay, got their number and had me call them.  I told them in no way would I pay them or had I agreed to any tour through them.  I called the Hotel and reported it.  It seems that this was not the first call that they had received Friday night.  I am calling the Florida State Attorney General and reporting this.  This company appears to be loccated in Coral Springs Florida according to their telephone number.

Same thing happened to me last night December 9th here in San Diego regarding travel to Las Vegas claiming I did not take a tour in 2004 with them and were threatening to report me to collections if I did not pay the supposive $433 owed to them. I explained to them I had no idea what they were talking about and that either they have the wrong person or this is a huge scam. He then proceeded to get nasty and say "So what your saying is you want me to report this to collections?" Then the conversations started to get heated. I was hung up on then I received a phone call back from Their Supervisor "Timmothy Matthews" When I asked him several questions regarding information about where he was calling I was hung up on again and they never called back. I was having a quite dinner at 8:00 in the evening to only be interupted and harassed buy these frauds. If they have been calling this many people they must be getting away with it with some people. Tricking them into paying the debt over the phone. I would like to some how have them investigated and report this to the police. Does anyone know what procedures to take action are? Any advice would be great!

I got the same call last night, same amount of money, mine was a trip we took to Vegas in 2003, I made the reservations myself.  I got the same two e-mails, the same two threats with an offer to extend my opportunity to 'tour' their facilities for another 9 years, just give them my credit card information.  I was surprised at how much detail they had, although they did not have my address entirely correct.  They gave me this call back number 1-877-948-8900.  I could not believe how rude they were or how long they carried on.

I did call vegas.com but they were no help at all. They basically said they have no affiliations with timeshares.
