Well according to last post in August they are at it again. I received call at 5:45pm 9/24/2012. Dinner time. Did not answer, no message left. Blocking them from my phone. I am on the Do Not Call list for years but you have to renew every 3 years but that doesn't help. I just did it last year 2011 & it is worthless. Unless you can block these calls, please don't answer if you have caller ID, or if don't let go to answering machine (I have one brother that doesn't have an answering machine if don't have answering machine don't know what to tell you to do. If important you can call back. But the sad part of this is the older people that don't even have an answering machine & they answer if they don't have someone younger updated on technology to tell them not to answer like I do. If you answer they know you have a legitimate number & will continue to call you. I have posted on lots of sites. What the heck is the Do Not Call list for????? Such wonderful government officials we have representing us. Good luck. I am a senior citizen, but am thinking about others like my older sister that can't hear & I keep telling her to let it go to answering machine. They are preying on us old people & I really feel frustrated with them because I am a senior, but thankfully a younger one but I hate the scum preying on older people that don't know what to do with modern technology.

The caller claimed to be a pulbic opinion survey.  However, rather than give opinon, I provided more conversation.  The caller then said that she worked for Tim Kaine, who is running against Goerge Allen tfor Senate in Virgnina.  The woman appeared to have a forieng accent-- Asian American. hispanic Asian American or something similar.

At this point, I do not care which party calls me.  I believe that all party opratives are callous people who will do and say just about anything to get the voter to vote a paritcuarl way.  Once in office, the majority party in either local fails to dleiver.  About the worst thing anyone can do is to slef-identify as a member of any paty.  I know for me perosnally, with two M.Ed degrees and thre undergraduate degres, and endorsements to teach three phsycial sicnes and one social sicne, I cannot find emplyment at either the secondary or university level due to past  party afiliation, or affilaiton regarding human reproduction which ran afoul of the major movers and shakers where I live.  Infromation can be a dangerous thing.  For every Stephaie Cutter in the DNC, there are opeative like Kathryn Coe Royce and Bay Bucahnan in the RNC.  None of these dmaes are worht dealing with.  It is best to stay anonymous!  I persoanlly attribute my lack of emplyment to poltical candor as well as dirty lcoal poltics.

Just received not 1 but 2 phone calls from this number - they have been showing up on my caller ID for a few weeks now - so I decided to see who it was - the woman said she was from a public opinion poll.  I told her I was not interested, not to call my house again and told them my phone was on the Do Not Call registry.
Apparently she was totally deaf, because she called back not even 10 minutes later.  This time I told them I was going to report them to the FCC for Do Not Call registry violation. - Let's see if that does anything or if they even care!

No name and no message off a call from them that I received this evening.  Presumed to be a scammer.

    Annoyed
Called at 5:30 yesterday aft. I decided to answer. A woman asked for someone (a woman) who has no connection with our house. I just said that she had a wrong number. She politely apologized. We've had a lot of polling and scam calls so I just didn't comment and hung up. I usually don't answer unless it's from a familiar number or our own area code.

Opinion Research firm. Unfortunately, such organizations ARE exempt from DNC. With the election around the corner, am getting more and more pollsters calling. The feds will never have the political will to include these calls under DNC; they were exempted in the first place to satisfy both general market researchers and the political parties, which rely on them so heavily in planning campaigns.

The best we can hope for is that they will all come to realize that the polling/marketing data they get will become increasing unrepresentative--and useless--as people begin to rely on technology to screen out more of those calls and use other means to communicate (like Skype) that make it more difficult to contact those of us who generally want to be left alone by these organizations.

Got a phone call from 702 430 3191 asking for me by name and very unusual for me, I took the political survey.  It was from a calling center with lots of buzz in the background.  Seemed to start off unbiased enough but by the end I was laughing asking 'what planet are you from?'  By the end the caller had fixated on all the 'positives' of the economy, housing market, presidential decisions, etc. and was using the same grading survey system.  Obviously, it was intended to sway the voter with what they thought was a new and clever way.  Didn't work.  Told her we are not living in the same world as the questions on the survey and she said she did not write them she is just reading them.  I was polite because the caller was probably a college kid trying to make a living so I would never take it out on them but felt like a fool for believing it was an unbiased poll originally.

Wow...talk about a boiler room.  All kinds of chatter going on in that place.

Caller asked if I was over the age of 18 and registered to vote.  I told her that I was only 4 years old and was too young to vote.

It doesn't matter if you are on the Do Not Call list. Since they only want your opinion and not your money they are exempted from that.

This number has called our non-profit organization several times now, asking for the director.  Always out of regular work day hours, so the director is never here.  "Lisa" has just informed me that she will call back. I'd rather she didn't.

Probably political. I will be so glad when the election is over! They are so NOSY to find out how we're gonna vote. GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT~ In a few days, we'll all KNOW who the next-or same-president will be! RELAX-nothing earth-shattering about EITHER candidate-and if these two are the best we can find, we're in big trouble!
