- Fleck1 replies to odieThey've taken old debt of mine and tripled what I originally owed and are trying to collect that or settle for more than what I owed back in 2003.
- BigA replies to Fleck1I really do fail to see why someone would put up with that. You need to follow my instructions and then sue them. Make them pay you. You will be doing the world a great service, helping your fellow man, and the best part is that you end up getting paid for your good deeds.
- BullWell, since I'm not in debt to anyone, this is another blocked number...

- sol expired replies to Alfalfaand they know that and call anyway. it notice states "The law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, we will not sue you for it". But they call anyway and sol is passed and there's a discrepancy in the original creditor. just tell them, NOT MY BILL.
- PS41They call multiple times a day at all hours on home and cell. Explained to them I do not owe anyone. They use multiple numbers. This one is from Las Vegas

- CD replies to LydPlease post how that goes. They have harassed me for years over a debt that wasn't even mine. They began calling me when the debt was 9 years old. The debt is over 20 years old at this point. I requested fraud paperwork from them that they said I had to fill out. They never sent it to me and continued to call me for the money. They stop calling for a while and then it starts up again from a new person. And each person has no idea that I've already spoken with others from their company. Very unprofessional collection company.
- CD replies to SD| 6 repliesI have to wonder if they make up debts thinking you may not know any better. They called me about a loan they said I had taken but they would never tell me who the loan company was and they have me an address that I hadn't lived at for years. The loan was supposedly 9 years old. I told them I never had a loan in my life and I requested the fraud papers that they said I needed to fill out. They never sent them but continued to harass me. I also never had that supposed outstanding loan appear on my credit report.

- Sarah replies to Don| 5 repliesJust because it's been 8 yrs does not mean you don't still owe it! If someone borrowed from you 8 yrs ago, wouldn't you think it was still "owed to you" & should be paid?
The Bible says, ..."the wicked borroweth & payeth not back...." - MikeHuntleton replies to SarahYou might do well to mind your own business and the Bible has no place here!
- Yoda1725 replies to Sarah| 3 repliesYet another sad, uneducated pay 'ur billz shill. Perhaps you should pay your own bill, instead of exhorting others to.
- Sarah replies to CD| 5 repliesSounds like scammers, to me. Block & ignore them since it wasn't your debt!
I believe when u do owe a debt, no matter how old it is, u should pay it if u can or when u can pay it. It's just the "right thing to do", morally! - MikeHuntleton replies to Sarah| 1 replyQuote:I believe when u do owe a debt, no matter how old it is, u should pay it if u can or when u can pay it. Life doesn't always allow people to be "moral" when it comes to survival. Some people simply CANT pay it back and might have required intervention via a bankruptcy. You can't blindly state someone should pay back a debt on the grounds of morality, without knowing their situation. - Slim replies to Sarah>> I believe when u do owe a debt, no matter how old it is, u should pay it if u can or when u can pay it <<
Good thought.
However, you should add something like "... pay it back to the entity that loaned you the money ..."
Y'see, there are too many "debt collectors" that do not follow the law when attempting to collect debts. Just as debtors should pay, the collector should respect and follow the law.

There is a place for all things somewhere on the internet, but each person is responsible for how they behave and interact in a respectable manner for the website's purpose, not just say anything they want when it has no place there. Religion is not useful here and is a subject avoided because of the numerous beliefs and would draw attention towards an off-topic discussion, such as this one is becoming. Giving your 'personal' opinion about what someone should or should not do is a touchy subject as well, since many people who report here are victims of some sort.
If you insist on being irresponsible towards what this site is for, then you are also inviting negative replies to your comments. Such discussions do not belong in the number threads, that is what the Forums are for! - Sarah replies to MikeHuntletonMike, u didn't read what I said: Pay it "IF" or when u can! I realize some people cannot pay their debts due to job loss, health issues, etc. etc. Just because a debt is 8 yrs old though isn't justification to not pay it, IF you can. Your not paying a large debt back could be the cause of someone else not being able to pay their bills!
