this number text me about a room i have for rent, asking questions that were on the ad.  I believe it was a feeler to see if the number was active and not an actual person

I to as well got a message that had a scammy feel to it asking about a room I have for rent. Would be nice to know where yours was - this one was in ohio.

scam- text message about my room for rent in Colorado.
"Hi I just want to know if the room is still open and the price"

Phishing for info by asking if room is still available (just posted it on CL an hour before) and the price (stated 3 times in the ad). I got virtually the same text from the same # back on June 27th too.

"Hello good day and how are you doing I just want to know if the room is still open and the price"

You can almost always identify these messages by their lack of punctuation, p*** poor grammar, and the fact that they always ask for the price despite it being stated in the ad they are responding to.
