Keeping getting a call from this number. They would ring once or twice, then hang up. No message. Does anyone know anything about this number?

Have called me several times. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the phone number. They never leave a message.

Message says it's a company called Merits Research - says they are not a marketing research firm.  Obtaining opinions for a survey. If you want to be put on their do not call list, call 1-800-864-8601 and leave your number. The message says they are not bound by the national do not call regulations because they are not a telemarketing firm.

Igot a call from the number as well as the 800 number. Per the suggestion in this report, I added my number to their do not call list. Thanks.

Calls come in on a daily basis leave no message.

I rec'd a call from this number after purchasing a new GM vehicle. They were taking a satisfaction survey

Called my cell phone (new as I just moved to NC) at 1:00pm on a Sunday. Did not recognize the area code so I let it roll to voice mail.  They left a 4 second message of absolutely nothing.  Idiots.

getting these calls on cell phone. no message and I don't answer. sick of all these calls day and night. Sick person in home, don't need this crap. I think Mike needs not to call people southern rednecks. maybe he likes these calls.

well obviously there is a reason because several people use this site.  No one wants to be harrased by unknown numbers idiot and obviously from the posts on this number it is a UNWANTED CALL.  that is unless that person's dying relative also called my phone and hung up.  Why did you even come here idiot?

This ia marketing research company that calls people for major companies usually for customer satisfaction surveys. Mr. Mike, I'm sure of this was an ermgency phone call or someone in need they would have left a message. Why should NCMike need to use his cellphone minutes for someone he doesn't know. Why would you even care or be so judgemental and mad? Why are you even on this website if you did not need to report a call? Perhaps you work in this field?? You do sound defensive. The economy and job availability is so poor right now. It must be a desparate situation if someone has to work in this despicable field of telemarketing. I am sorry for you,

Unknown caller. Has called twice now without leaving a message. I don't answer unless message is left or I recognize the caller.

Have gotten calls from this number every few days for the past month.  Usually I'm at work when they call, so I don't answer.  They never leave a message, so I never answer even when I'm able to.  

And holy crap, what's up with "Mike" from 27 Sep 2009?!?!? Usually people only get so heated over political stuff!  Maybe he's so lonely that he craves random phone calls so he can talk to people.  Poor Mike :(

Caller id said general motors but got dial tone when I stupidly answered. No new gm vehicles here!

They called my cell number.  I don't need to pay for cell phone minutes just to listen to an unwanted sales pitch.  I don't care if they call themselves a "research" group, they're selling something.  Very annoying.  And to call someone a "Redneck" for not wanting to waste their cell minutes is super [***].

Well at least we know how to spell "your"!

Stop calling it is annoying. If I don't know you ..I will not pick up the phone.

I NEVER had a spam call until I added my phone number to the do not call list. Strange...

I never received a spam call EVER until I registered with the do-not-call registry!!! I guess if there's not a problem don't fix it right? But my cell has been getting spam calls from day one.
