This woman call with that number 2 times. She didn't say who she was calling for, since their are 3 people who live here and she didn't have an address. It is probably a scam.

A woman with an Indian accent left a message saying they were from the IRS, I was being investigated for tax evasion.  I knew it wasn't for me, I assumed it was a scam but called back anyway.  A man, also with an Indian accent, answered saying it was the IRS.  I gave him my number to "pull up my account".  He asked me what time it was, when I refused to answer he told me to call back in the morning to find out what the call was about then hung up on me.  I called back and the same man answered.  I said "I know that you are not the IRS and I'm reporting you to the FBI."  He responded with "f_ck you!" and hung up.

I have also received a call from a foreign accent.  They said they would have to detain me

same thing as everyone else happened. I posted this because if the others hadn't, then how would we know what this is. After reading the posts here, my wife said, "oh, good. this has happened to others too.... another scam, idiots!" lol

Warrant for my arrest the indian said.  No IRS office will call you for something like this.  You will get letters to contact them if such a thing is up.  These indian scammers at least should employ people that can speak the language.  I called him back, same person answered and gave him a piece of my American mind in not such a nice way !

Some are.  They extorted over 14 million in one year.

I just got a call this number 5min ago talking about how I had committed Tax Fraud in 2008 and I need to get a criminal lawyer. I kept asking the man who spoke very bad English that I was wanted his IRS rep number and I would walk across the street to my local IRS office which is located right next to my work and speak to someone in person,,,, he hung up!

Got a call from ROY WILSON from this number.. said I needed a lawyer to fight this tax evasion charge. Said he would call police to come out and detain me.
I told him... go ahead and have them come... but be sure to come after 5:00 when I would be home. He said they would  pick me up where I was.. I said , how can they when you don't know where I am... he said not to worry they would track me down.  I said okay, I will be waiting. then he hung up.
Fraud all the way.

Same story. It's a scam!!!

Also received this call about tax evasion.  Told him that when I received something certified in the mail from  the IRS I would worry about it then,  he  told me they had tried and I said you are lying and I know this is a scam, he then hung up on me.

Received a call today, 6/10/2015 at 10:38 AM. The caller asked for my wife by name and when I asked who was calling they promptly hung up. In researching the call, it is apparent that the call was about some bogus tax issue. I believe this is the same caller that called a week ago and talked to my wife stating that he was a FBI agent. The call did not show up on my caller ID so I contacted my phone carrier to see if they could supply me with the phone number, which they said they didnt have the capability to do that. Both of these calls were on my land line (Centurylink) and the caller had a heavy accent
possibility Filipino.

Just got another call from "Mark Anderson, Fraud Division IRS", phone 703-879-8361.  I told him I was hard of hearing, could not understand his thick Pakistani, Indian accent.  This is about the 3rd call from these people saying they never got my tax filings from 2009-2013 and I was in big trouble.  I will be blocking this phone #.  Jerks.

a middle eastern sounding woman call my # asking for my husband ,she told me her name anejla , adanjen Williams ,she keep spelling her name to me different , said the IRS had a criminal case against us for 2,296.35,and they will take our home, cars, bank acct ,on and on ,and we had to appear in count ,I was getting sued, I told her you have my address send the information back to me so I could read it again . she said NO !!! she said don't interrupt me you are in trouble. I ask her what is my address then, she gave me some address in another state ,I told her do not call this # again, I hung up. lost souls .

I returned the call to 703-879-8361 just to let them know I am on to their scam and they replied with the most atrocious language.

I received this call also.  The man said he was from IRS legal and I played along for awhile.  Finally his "higher authority" got on the phone. He said this was a very serious matter and if I didn't comply I would get a Summons for court.  I said ok and hung up!!!  Watch out for these nasty people!!!

I got the same call.  Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.

What a joke.  This same lady called me three times today in Hawaii. They just want to get more information from you.  Don't call back.  I called *69 and it would not give a number. Scam

Do yourself a favor and block this number.  I called and the guy told me he is William Wolter - he is a middle eastern gentlemen, gave me employee # 4529 and "badge" PL9572.  They are a scam.  They will try to extort money from you if you let them.  I called the IRS, and while holding, I heard this message "Be aware of fraudulent calls from people trying to represent themselves as IRS agents.  The IRS will NEVER call you and demand immediate payment over the phone, without at least having sent you a notice first."  They will scam you - please don't be scammed!

I called them back 4 times tell them they were sacks of s**t and they were the ones committing fraud. Lol
