So I got the same frickin call today and I asked him for his call back number and he gave me my actual office number!  He refused to talk with me, wanted to talk the boss (I am the boss)! It shoud be against the law not to be able to call a number back and reach them.  Dip Wads!

if you can get a business name and state they are incorporated in go to the secratary of state website you can for most states and do a business entity search you can end up getting the name and home address of some or all the top people associated with that company.

02/16/11 Recevied a call from this nunber at my work. Man was asking for my boss by first name only as if they were friends. Told him we unavailable, and he asked for his cell. I explained I could not give that information out and he claimed he was with the City of Pearland inspections department and was supposed to be meeting up with him for a job. Explained if he was meeting with him, he would have his cell phone. Man started getting aggrivated and told me he needed to the cell number and it was very important. I ONCE AGAIN, told him he was not getting it, and the man hung up on me. As seen from the previous posts, the man will try any means to get to talk to the bossman. Very rude. But I'm not dumb. :)

it wasnt the salesman that compromised the credit card.  The fact that you assume that is absurd.  A guy makes a foul call to your company, so therefore he is a theif.  haha

The same person calls our company several times each month and identifies himself with a different name each time (usually cops out and uses a popular name like Bob Hope or Tom Brady, etc...). It is a sales call and we keep telling him to take us off of his list and have even filed a complaint with donotcall.gov to no avail.  Maybe we should all start in with a pitch to him to sell miscellaneous products to him. Perhaps that would get him to leave us alone.

No, No, No this is NOT George Meidhoff, they are spoofing this guy's number.  I thought it was this guy George alos, and I tracked him down, because I have been getting these calls for years(same compnay, same mo, but always from different numbers)  .  George is a legitimate business man, he stopped service to this phone number in Aug 2010, I confirmed with the carrier.

The search is on for a 39-year-old man who loaded a gun and pointed it at another person Monday afternoon. Authorities described Bill Rozakis as armed and dangerous and are asking anyone who knows where he is to call police, said Tempe police spokesman Sgt. Mike Horn.

At 3:45 p.m., he pointed the gun at the person in the 2200 block of South 48th Street.

Horn said investigators later went to the gun shop, Shooting Star, 5861 S. Kyrene Road, believing that Rozakis was inside.

Surrounding businesses were evacuated and SWAT officers searched for him but were unsuccessful in finding him, Horn said. By 9:30 p.m. they cleared the scene.

703 889 5454 was disconnected in October 2010. I contacted the company about the use of the number and here is their response:

It sounds like someone is "spoofing" your old number - which I have confirmed is suspended with AccessLine and has not been legitimately used. AccessLine has not provided service to or for the number in question since the end of October, when you requested that the account be canceled. The number in question is appropriately suspended in all of our systems and there is no possible way that the actual number is being used for the purpose in question. Fraudulent scams will frequently involve using other numbers as a mask for the actual phone numbers being used - it sounds as though that is what is occurring in this case.

Sadly, there is not really anything we would be able to do with regards to this issue. It sounds as though somehow the recipients of these calls are tracking the number back to you, which leads me to believe that the number is still active in directory listings. We have no way of altering that and nothing more can be done aside from canceling the account."

I am as unhappy about the situation as the people receiving the calls as it is casting aspersions on my business.  If the real culprit is found, I have grounds to sue.

I got a call from this clown today at 16:19 CDT. on 03-15-11 where he referred to himself as the toolman, ( I agree, he is a tool!) and asked if I recognized his voice, he then went on to try and sell  me an OSHA approved first-aid kit for $60.00, I told him I was not interested and his reply was "[***], you [***] [***]" then he hung up
The caller ID shows he is from Virginia, even though he stated he was calling from AZ,
I disabled the caller ID on my phone and tried to call back but I was unable to get through.to him.
So he violated the WI no call list that I am on, and hopefully he can be dealt with that way.

I definitely did not rush to the computer and google the number.  I happen to work where you complainers are getting phone calls from.  Ticked off, I doubt you work harder than most men.  That is an extremely bold statement, and a quite stupid one.  I dont really care where you work, but unless you are outside in the heat sweating your ass off, that statement is untrue.  Also, I happen to know that none of you morons that are complaining are correct about any of this.  The person who said George is not the caller is the only one who is right.  It's not atlas supply, and I could go ahead and list all the comments that are incorrect, but I don't want to waste my time.  The reason I post on this site is because I think all of these comments are SUPER funny and entertaining!  The fact that you all get so upset and worked up over phone calls, go online, google the number, and then post complaints, that makes you all look super pathetic.  Gee wizz.  Get a life.  Its obvious from all these posts that you really are not the ones working hard, because if you were, you would not have the time to go onto the internet and complain.  When you register your business, your phone number becomes public, and anybody can look it up and has the right to call you.  Some of the things you [***] post are hilarious.  The one about a guy having a friend in the black ops, that was real funny.  Or the one about the guy with the gun.  Or the fact that you all are surprised the caller says he  is from AZ but has a Virginia number(It is not hard to get a number from a different area code other than your own.  Some cell phone companies ask you what state you would like your number from).  You all post like you are so super smart, but in reality, you all are complete idiots.  Where do you morons come up with this stuff?  My girlfriend owns a stucco company, and has gone through all the steps to make sure her number is unlisted.  I suggest if you crybabies do not want to deal with the calls, go through the steps.  Otherwise, quit cryin over the internet.  Or keep cryin, because it definitely makes good reading material.  HAHAHAHAHA

Or to avoid this completely, if the number is not local, do not answer it,  It is really not that hard.  You would think you "co-owners" would be smart enough to figure this stuff out.  Obviously, the majority of you people answering the phones are women.  I know if I was getting a bunch of harrassing phone calls, I would either not answer the phone, change my number, or I would deal with the calls and quit whining like a bunch of babies

This is NOT them, this is a legit co in VA, they stole/hijacked this number, the owner George Meidhof has been alerted, he has alerted the phone carrier who has reported it to the FBI, hopefully this is the beginning of the end for these maggots.
